Look at it like this. I'm a father of two kids. If I bring home a viper for a pet, and eventually decide the viper is too dangerous and I get rid of it, am I the father of the year? Or the idiot who brought home the viper in the first place?
Jerry's the idiot who brought home the viper. Not the hero who got rid of it.
The sad thing is, Jerry is the boss. He'll never be fired. Which means he's going to do something like this again. Maybe he'll trade for disgruntled Bengals WR Chad Johnson, clearing the way for the Bengals to do what they're dying to do, and add Terrell Owens to Chris Henry. Maybe Jerry will trade for the poisonous receiver in Denver.
My point being, Jerry is no hero. He's the snake-handler who doesn't understand why his pets keep biting him.
