Stop applauding Jerry Jones

Posted on: March 5, 2009 12:08 pm

Jerry Jones is getting way too much credit for getting rid of Terrell Owens, Pacman Jones and Tank Johnson. He is, after all, the guy who brought in Terrell Owens, Pacman Jones and Tank Johnson.

Look at it like this. I'm a father of two kids. If I bring home a viper for a pet, and eventually decide the viper is too dangerous and I get rid of it, am I the father of the year? Or the idiot who brought home the viper in the first place?

Jerry's the idiot who brought home the viper. Not the hero who got rid of it.

The sad thing is, Jerry is the boss. He'll never be fired. Which means he's going to do something like this again. Maybe he'll trade for disgruntled Bengals WR Chad Johnson, clearing the way for the Bengals to do what they're dying to do, and add Terrell Owens to Chris Henry. Maybe Jerry will trade for the poisonous receiver in Denver.

My point being, Jerry is no hero. He's the snake-handler who doesn't understand why his pets keep biting him.

Yeah, Jones may finally understand that the media will love his team even without the ego's. He'll still be able to make money without the media circus and may even win a playoff game here or there.

Mo is doing just fine without me. Who knew? And my picture sucks. Completely totally sucks. My IQ can't be more than 40, judging from that picture. Ugh.

LOL toughstats.  He kinda does look like a villian in a movie.  Put a bullseye on his forehead and he kinda looks like Colin Farrell as Bullseye or whatever in Daredevil.

Doyel, I was just wondering why it looks as though your eyes are two different colors in your blog's avatar.  Is that just a trick of light or are you wearing colored contact lenses or something?  You kind of look like the villian in some sort of sci-fi action movie.

Im thinking more of the old sarcastic one liners with links to what you're making fun of at that particular time. That was gold. Also, quit dodging my question, when are you coming back on the air with Mo?

I'm trying to ramp it back up. Sort of. Did you like the original "look at the daily news" aspect of dribbles? Or what? I need direction.

I didn't see Mr. Potato Head! Dadgummit. No I didn't do it, but I'm going to find out who did it and ask that we give them a big raise ... unless I get told the raise will have to come from my paycheck. And then never mind.
