Lane Kiffin, selfish young man

See! Age is an adjective. Nothing more or less ... Paterno fans.

Anyway ...

I'm not a Lane Kiffin guy. Read me at all, and you know that. I seem to mention it a few times a year month week.

Here's another example.

Not the violation. I don't care about the violation. I don't even care that ESPN helped commit the violation. ESPN was, technically speaking, doing its job. Plus, it's ESPN. ESPN does what ESPN wants. I get it. No problem.

But read at the end of the story where Kiffin gives an explanation about his infamous, and alleged, "gas pumping" comment. Notice the order in which he defends himself: He defends his intelligence before he defends his integrity. Even subliminally, those are his priorities.

Which tells me he's not as smart as he thinks he is. And not as wholesome, either.

antihomefanbias: As I recall, Urban Meyer came to Florida from a non-BCS school and I think it would be safe to say that he was a more legitimate candidate for that job than any co-ordinator from a BCS program.

Additionally, Jim Tressel has made a pretty nice transition from Youngstown State to Ohio State.

As for the Raiders, Jon Gruden proved that the right head coach can win there, although the situation in Oakland is far from ideal.

This article is assinine.  There are several schools who average over 30 secondary violations a year. Schools like OKlahoma, Georgia, Ohio State, etc. Heck, Ohio State admits they have commited close to 400 of them in the last 8 years!!  Yet morons like Doyal and Dodd want to write story after story bashing Kiffin. Are they big Fulmer fans? Maybe a closet Alabama or Florida fan?  Whatever they are, ignorant comes to mind......

but again if Kiffin was still OC at USC and hired by Tennessee it would've been a great move.

Of course you dont think that bc there are so many better options to hire for HC at the college lvl than the OC of one of the most successful college football teams of all time.

It's the new rage in college football..hire a new head coach and he talks mad smack and messes with the system.

Let the jerkoff coach his team.  It's his first real coaching job in the first place.  Unless you're absolutely ignorant about the Raiders which wouldnt surprise me.

While you're busy convincing yourself that non-bcs FBS coaches are more legitimate than a BCS coordinator i'll laugh myself to sleep.

Wow, all I can say is the more I read about Lane Kiffin, the sane-er and sane-er Al Davis looks.  Remember that Press Conference when Al fired him?  Everyone that Al was Crazy.  Everyone said OMG Lane got screwed by old man all and he is going to appeal his firing to get all his money.  You know what, Lane NEVER appealed the firing to get about $4 million.  NOBODY would just let $4 million go by without a fight unless they had NO change at winning.  Al accused him of some pretty intense things, the fact that he hasnt appealed it..,...............

All i Can say is that he is a bi-product of a certain Football powerhouse called USC.... he learned his grey area tactics from that program that is soon going to get slammed for their Reggie Bush fiasco (just wait.... another year and this program is cooked!).   I to agree that if you are blantantly violating secondary infractions.... you will soon be doing something Major.     UT's program will be in shambles within 5 years (violations)

I understand a Tennessee fan defending Tennessee football from apparent attack.  However at some point, you have to look through more of an unbiased lens. If you do, maybe you will find that everything being said about Kiffin is true.
Kiffin's track record is all you have to judge the man by and it is below mediocre at best. My guess is you won't be defending this man for long.  Instead, you will be defending Tennessee football from him. Good luck.

MJBX is a complete idiot. ESPN sucks dude as they have become pathetic and too main stream. If CBS is a half season Class A ball what are you doing here?

I can guarantee that I know about sports than you EVER will. Next time you decide to post something leave your ignorant thoughts at home because you look ridiculous. ESPN and yourself are too self consumed. You probably like Stewart Scott who has been cashing his token paycheck for years because of his color of skin while possessing no skills whatsoever.

In short, get a clue MJBX.

Lane Kiffin, stupid, egotistical, self-serving, arrogant youn man!

I hope he and coach "O" go down in flames and put UT on probation! This guy has no head coaching resume worth looking at! I can not believe UT hired his pompous ass!
