And this is why the media hates me

Because I'm so darned mean. Even to this guy, who sort of seemed to like the USC hire of Kevin O'Neill.

I can't say for sure, because Plaschke was tough on O'Neill and yet nice to O'Neill. In other words, he couched his opinion -- whatever it is; we still don't know -- in such a way that whatever happens with O'Neill and USC, Plaschke will be able to say he was right. Meantime, I have no idea how he feels about O'Neill. None.

Say what you want about me -- and people have -- but when you finish one of my columns, you know how I feel about the topic.

And because I'm mean, let me point out how much Plaschke loved a recent USC basketball hire.

Damn, Plaschke. You were wrong then on Majerus. You're wrong now on O'Neill ... because you don't have the guts to say what I think you wanted to say. Did you love the Tim Floyd hire, too? I bet you did. That would give you the Wrong Triple Crown.

I'm starting to hate me, too. I'm too mean.

This is unnacceptable.  Would you tolerate Usain Bolt ripping Special Olympic sprinters?  If you've heard this guy talk, you would realize how much of an accomplishment it is for him to put together sentences.  Seriously, Gregg, what the Mike Freeman are you doing reading Bill Plaschke?  I would love to know how much gargbage you sift throuh on a daily basis.  Bill Plashcke was created by God so that Max Kellerman would appear elequent by comparison.

Only if you have serious issues would you ever want to be like Doyel...or have an article like Doyel.   It doesn't take any kind of talent to write little daggers aimed at everyone in the world.  Either you're a cold-blooded SOB, or you maybe you've got issues going back to childhood.  Maybe you were abused by your parents, and this is your way of vindicating yourself to the world.  That sad part is that the issues are still there each and every morning.

Give me a smart, capable, and talented writer who can not only write thought-provoking pieces, but backs up what he's talking about with facts, and not acting like a 6-year-old who is upset because his favorite toy got broken.  Give me someone like Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton, or Joe Morgan, or Bob Costas, or anyone else who is a true journalist.  Doyel isn't even close to being one.  His articles scream of a little boy who's constantly crying over one thing or another.

Doyel is just a talentless thug with a pen.  That's all he is, and all he'll ever be.  You couldn't pay me all the money in the world to be in Doyel's shoes for two seconds, nor have an empty job like he has.  There's no talent required for being a mean-spirited, immature little boy.

If nothing else, it's pathetic.

Get this man Tommy John surgery, stat!

Doyel translated:  "People correctly point out that I'm stupid -- but that doesn't mean I'm actually stupid, it's just that I'm very adamant about the stupid things I write!"

Don't pat yourself on the back too hard, Gregg!  How are you going to swing that manly sledgehammer with a blown out elbow?

Most of us would kill for the job of posting biased, slanted, and sometimes misinformed opinions on sports for a living.  In other words, we want Doyel's job.

I'm definitely NOT a fan of Plaschke, so kudos to you for ripping him a new one.
