Not a blog, but very freaking goodIt was well-written and well-reasoned, as is always the case with Plaschke. Unfortunately, his premise was a little off. Artest and Ariza got identical deals -- five years, about $33 million. If he'd known that, he could've ripped the trade even more! |

Not a blog, but very freaking goodI love this deal for the Lakers (and I don't even like the Lakers)...they get one of a handful of guys that can play defense on Kobe. This team is an offensive power house, and they just upgraded their defense 20%. Plus they stole one from Lebron and Shaq. Ariza can be an 'X' factor for most teams, but he's a great swing man. This is a scary team on paper...which I think will show on the court too. Artest is serious about winning a championship. |
