Tebow was asked about sex ... and I liked it

I mean, I liked everything about it.

I liked the guts it took, and the insight it required, to ask that question of that athlete. He's not just an athlete. He's the most famous Christian athlete in the country, and he's walking on a campus -- I went there -- teeming with temptation. Are you saving yourself for marriage? is the wrong question to ask every athlete but one in college football. But it's the right question to ask Tebow. He's The One.

I like the poise Tebow showed in answering it, and in making fun of the media for being so uncomfortable with the moment.

I liked the passion Dennis Dodd showed in his takedown of the questioner, Clay Travis. Dodd can write, friends. He can really write.

I liked the debate it has stirred up around the country. Was the question fair? Was Tebow even telling the truth? Lots of interesting points to banter about.

Liked it. All of it. Not sure I'd have asked it, but only because of my own weaknesses. However, if it had occurred to me, and I was there, sure. I'd have asked.

I don't understand how Tim Tebow and his sex life affects if the Florida Gators are going to win their next game?
Well if he decides to go get laid the night before playing LSU or something, then I will care.  And will be upset too. As Mickey from Rocky said, "Women weaken legs". Tongue out

Who cares if Tim Tebow has sex or had sex or is going to have sex? I don't understand how Tim Tebow and his sex life affects if the Florida Gators are going to win their next game?
I enjoy watching Tim Tebow play football. I'm glad he didn't choose Alabama or we'd still be stuck with Mike Shula. I don't know Tim Tebow personally and never met the guy therefore why should I need to know if the guy is a virgin or not? That doesn't affect the game I'm watching on t.v. or draw any interest to me. I'd rather know if he's going to get under the center more this year and see more passing.

Tebow uses his stage to promote the faith. Part of that faith is not having sex before marriage. Totally fine to ask him since he puts it out there. I think Clay had good intentions in asking. I wouldn't have cared if Tim said he wasn't but Bravo to Tim and Clay for how they have delt with this!

catsFAN ,6 star post. I think it's hilarious how not 3 days ago cbs was posting an article on Recruiting tactics & how Shaun Alexander chose Alabama  over michigan because of getting off the plane and having the finest southern bells awaiting his arrival etc. but now the question of, if Tebow Had sexual relations with one of the Half dressed welcoming girls, it is totally inappropriate and out of line.He is proud of who he is, what he stands for & what he believes. He seemed to be more shocked by the immature reporters who went into cardiac arrest, like half the posters here ,than the question itself.IMHO It's good for our youth to hear a Man of his stature in these times with more in graphic nature than ever before; glorifying these type actions, to know you do not have to do certain things , to achieve a reputable status with teammates, classmates friends and fans.I commend Tebow and gained respect for the man for answering the question other than side stepping it like a politician or claiming a lame invasion of privacy. And to who asked-what socity do we live in when people start asking those of the opposite sex there virgin status...get a clue ,seen the internet or MTV the past decade? We need more Tebows and less Pacmans.

Yeah Dennis Dodd can write alright... with big oversize crayons and a Big Chief Tablet. The guy might be the most intellectually challenged writer in sports.

What do we say as a society when someone asks a female athlete if she's a virgin?  Or if a female reporter asks a male athlete or vice versa?
