Awww -- he's like a young Pacman Jones

LeGarrette Blount of Oregon, I mean. He's a young Pacman Jones. Is that a good thing?

Of course it's not a good thing.

He didn't just lose his cool Thursday night when he sucker-punched a Boise State player after the game. He became completely unhinged. He forgot where he was, who he was, and where he wants to go. And if he plays again this season, shame on Oregon coach Chip Kelly.

(Here's the video!)

A season-long suspension is a stiff, stiff penalty to pay for a college football player, especially a senior. But Blount has to go. A player cannot sucker-punch another player after the game, and then make it worse by trying to go all Ron Artest on the crowd. If it weren't for the police who stopped him, Blount would have been in the crowd making (punches) rain.

This might not be a bad guy, but that was a despicable show. And he has to go.

And if Chip Kelly doesn't see that, well, maybe Chip Kelly has to go as well.

You're an idiot.  Just because someone talks trash doesn't mean the proper reaction is a sucker punch.  Ignore the fool for rubbing it in or say your peace and move on.  Frankly it sounds like Blount deserved a little trash, a bit of his own medicine so to speak. That was the weakest taunt I think I have ever seen, it's not like he got in his face or started sizing up Blount.

*edit*

You are posing with a HAMMER with a threatening face in your WORK profile... I feel like you should be championing the suckerpuncher!

There was no sucker punch

People need to get the story straight before commenting about it. I just watched the full video, and the guy from Boise State grabbed him by the shoulder as he was walking by minding his own business heading back to his locker room. Then the guy from Boise State said something to him that obviously pissed him off, then he punched the guy from Boise State. That is not a sucker punch. A sucker punch would be if he walked up behind the guy when he didn't see him coming and slugged him. A sucker punch is something that is totally unexpected. If I forcefully grab a guy by the shoulder who is trying to head back to his locker room and start talking serious smack to him after he just lost a game and is disappointed in himself, I should be ready to get slugged.

Not from Oregon.  Pennsylvania.  Just dont like people taunting.  I didnt care for the punch but if there was no taunting, there would not have been any punching.

Classic Doyle

I'm Gregg Doyle and this was a dispicable act. Noone should behave like this . Look here to see a horrible person suckerpunch another person! I have to turn me head each and every time I watch this video over and over and over and you should too!I have bolded words to link to this disgusting video but noone should watch this !

Classy Doyle. A sucker punch is just that but you can't say it was unprovoked. It's not the worst we've seen in football and I bet there is a pretty clear precident...try doing some reporting for once instead of worrying about how many posts you get.

That is what I said.  Mr tough guy wins a game and decides to start tapping OS players on the shoulders and head and running his mouth.  Maybe the Boise player should get suspended for being a pu$$y.

Was not a sucker punch but ....

I saw the video and it was a very bad choice but maybe the Boise player should have shown a little more class and not have taunted the knucklehead by tapping him on the shoulder and yapping something in his ear.  He won the game, why cant he just celebrate with his teammates?  Its easy to taunt an opposing player when the game is over and your team won, what are they going to come back with.  Well, the Boise player now knows.  Mr. Glass Jaw.

I watched the game last night and some of the articles fail to mention a few details.  Blount threw the punch hitting the Boise player as we all know, but after the punch Blounts teammates tried to restrain him…Blount then proceeded to throw punches at his own teammates!  Then, Blount tried to go after fans and wrestled with police officers all the way to the locker room…The guy lost it and was totally out of control.  Blount should get suspended for the rest of the season…Period!!  What was said by the Boise player is not even relevant, Blounts actions were inexcusable.

Has it been reported what the Boise State player said to him right before the punch is thrown.  On the replay, you see the Boise State player go up and slap him on the shoulder while saying something, then right after that the punch is thrown.  I believe that the whole store should be told before it is decided that he should be suspended for the entire season.
