Told you about Mark Ingram

Posted on: November 27, 2009 6:25 pm

Didn't I? In my Heisman story Thursday, I unveiled my vote. Four names. None of them "Mark Ingram." He's a nice running back on a great team, but a Heisman candidate? He shouldn't be that. And maybe he's not after that debacle against Auburn.

My Heisman candidates remain golden:

1. Toby Gerhart.

2. C.J. Spiller

3. Colt McCoy and Dexter McCluster (tie)

No Tim Tebow, either. His candidacy is a damn joke, as is any voter that falls for it.

Told you about Mark Ingram

McCoy tied for third?

Really?

The winningest qb in NCAA history tied with who?

Didn't your hammer come with instructions not to hit yourself in the head with that thing before you jot down crazy crap like this?

You should sue thte manufacturer for making you so damned stupid...you'd have everyone testifying that your the #1 idiot in your field...in fact, there wouldn't even be a #2 unless it was this worthless column.

Told you about Mark Ingram

I almost can't believe these poor Alabama fans...Ingram plays one game banged up and we're all supposed to feel sorry for him.

CJ Spiller has had a turf toe since the first game of the year, yet played on without comment. 7000+ all-purpose yards, NCAA record for most kick returns for TD's, only player with a TD in every game, only player with two 300+ all-purpose yard games this year, recorded 80% of TCU's average yardage all by himself and in a driving rainstorm, has scored 5 ways this year, (talk about your punt, pass & kick winner!), etc. etc.

Oh by the way Mr. Doyel, Gerhart against Wake Forest = 19 carries and 96 yards even though Stanford was trying to win a close game right to the end (and lost).

Spiller against the SAME Wake Forest = 9 carries for 104 yards and 140+ total even though Clemson rolled to 31-3 halftime lead and Spiller touched the ball three times in the second half.

That's called a 'level playing field' and Spiller just ran away from Gerhart like so many others this year....

Gerhart!!!! Wow, Id give it to one of the three 1000 yard rushers from Nevada before I'd give it to Gerhart, who's schedule was ranked B-.  Nice decision with McCluster....."tied with McCoy"....I guess I could get a job as a wrier because my girlfriend tells me I walk around with my head up my ass!

Told you about Mark Ingram

One: Mark Ingram is not out of the Heisman. Two: I've never heard of you. Three: Two win the player must play for a established team and be in the hunt for all the marbles. You are way to young to know this and how you can represent CBS I don't  know. Have a nice day.

Told you about Mark Ingram

Finally someone sees and tells the truth about Mark Ingram.  If I look at who has made the biggest impact on their team...?  Dexter McCluster.

Told you about Mark Ingram

Personally, as an Alabama fan, I'm somewhat relieved.  There is a reason this program has 12 national championships and no Heisman trophy winners.  What we saw on the field yesterday was just an example of that.  You keep your Heisman hoopla.  We'll keep Mark Ingram and hopefully another national championship.

Told you about Mark Ingram (WRONG)

From the Heisman website
The Heisman Memorial Trophy annually recognizes the outstanding football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance and hard work.

This means more than one year's performance can and should be taken into account when determining the outstanding football player.
Colt McCoy is being judged on this year's performance and his previous years.
Are people ignoring his 65 yard TD run against TAMU?  His punt to the 10?
His TD saving tackle against OU after an interception?
Even Tim Tebow has said he will vote for Colt!

You are a joke, Mark not even in the group but you put DM at 3 remember what he did when they played Bama nothing, but let Mark have 1 bad game and everybody dumps him, I recall McCoy had 5 bad games to start the year, but oh yea he will get it because he should have already and this is a lifetime award....

Told you about Mark Ingram

He has one game where he doesn't rush for over 100 yds. because the other team's defense is concentrating on him, and that is supposed to validate your "I told you so"? You're an idiot.
