Two hours before kickoff against Florida State, Florida coach Urban Meyer was on the field, just him and daughter Gigi Nicki, greeting every Gator as the team walked through the stadium and across the field toward the locker room. By 1:37 p.m., the team was gone, but Meyer and Nicki stayed. It was almost as if one Gator had yet to cross the field.

One guess who that was.

Ten minutes later, a handful of sheriff's deputies start walking down the empty stadium steps. They are followed by a single Gator. Of course, it's Tim Tebow.

Meyer meets him at midfield with a hug. Nicki hugs him. They walk toward the locker room, and Tebow throws his arm around Meyer's shoulders as they disappear into the tunnel.

I don't care who you are or how cynical you are (guilty ): If you were here, and you didn't get goosebumps watching this, you're a cadaver.

I can't stay on topic?  You kept talking about florida as a team, which is what I commented on.  We can trace the posts together if you wish.  Come on, guy, hang in there.  Sorry if I'm going too fast for you.  According to your logic, I can argue that just because you say Florida could beat TCU, BSU, or Texas doesn't mean they can.  We're not going to go very far with that line of argument, so why bother with it?  But as long as we're just spouting off insupportable arguments, I still think Florida should be #3 or #4.  They just don't look as good as those other teams.  But yeah, I'll be here to spar with you if you want.  Why the heck not.  Jeez, you take me for a fair weather SEC fan?  Florida has been pretty good, but I can remember a few years ago when they weren't so good.  Ask your step dad about those days.

Are we still talking about Tebow? I guess not. You cannot stay on topic. That can't be good. Just because other teams are not beaten does not mean they are good, And just because you think that TCU and BSU could beat FLA doesn't mean they could. Let's assume that you will face the music after Texas or whichever sacrificial lamb takes the fall, will you meet me back here after the NC? Can I admit to you that Fla sucks or that they are one of the greatest dynasties in NCAA history?

Wow, #! -- that's even better than #1.  You've kept me laughing tonight, I got to hand it to you.  And teaching you something you don't know seems like it would be pretty easy, just from my vibes of your education level.  Anyway, I think Texas is better than Florida and I think they should be #1.  Heck, I think even TCU and Boise State are better than Florida.  My evidence?  Nothing.  But that's what you're offering up on why Florida should be number one.  Florida is number one because they started at number one.  If Boise State started at number one, then they'd still be number one.  Florida is fortunate to have been given the number one status initially.  They haven't earn it more than any other undefeated team.

Our schedule is not the greatest but whose is? You are the one that avoided football. I will talk football all night. You hate Florida and Florida is #!, I think you should cite why they shouldn't be #!. We are #! from August, right or wrong, that's a fact. Teach me something I don't know. Keep your personal life out of this.

No, I know UF is #1.  They've earned it by playing such a tough schedule so far (snicker . . . Florida State is pretty good).  You cited speeds of certain guys, and you need to provide evidence in order for your argument to have meaning.  You know how to create a syllogism, right?  If you're argument is that the fastest team always wins, then you're going to lose that argument, you know.  I'm just saying.  Hey, the Kent Clark thing was pretty good.  Keep it up--you're getting entertaining all of a sudden.

Sources for what? That UF is #1? How about the AP, USA Today and BCS? What would you like to know, Kent Clark, or is it Clarke?

I'm still waiting on your sources.  Your last post was a waste.
