Urban and Tebow, and OK, this was cool

Two hours before kickoff against Florida State, Florida coach Urban Meyer was on the field, just him and daughter Gigi Nicki, greeting every Gator as the team walked through the stadium and across the field toward the locker room. By 1:37 p.m., the team was gone, but Meyer and Nicki stayed. It was almost as if one Gator had yet to cross the field.

One guess who that was.

Ten minutes later, a handful of sheriff's deputies start walking down the empty stadium steps. They are followed by a single Gator. Of course, it's Tim Tebow.

Meyer meets him at midfield with a hug. Nicki hugs him. They walk toward the locker room, and Tebow throws his arm around Meyer's shoulders as they disappear into the tunnel.

I don't care who you are or how cynical you are (guilty ): If you were here, and you didn't get goosebumps watching this, you're a cadaver.

I agree that Ryan Mallet is a pretty goood player but the only reason you hate Tebow is the media. If you were to judge him on his merits, you would agree he has been a great asset to college athletics. He is a great leader, a great player and a great kid for UF. If he played for Vandy, all you haters would be sucking him off, just like everyone did Jay Cutler, and he turned out to be a selfish crybaby. Tebow may not turn out to be a great pro but he is a great kid with a great attitude that any team would love to have. Hate him if you want. He could care less.

NOTRE DAME COACH---MEYER GOING RUMOR OR TRUTH?

What is the truth on this?   Looks like it may have some truth--with all the Gator seniors departing this year and the possibility of several others considering entering into the NFL Draft.  Is there absolutely no chance that UM goes to Notre Dame?
You know they will entice and seek to get him with every possible incentive.  The SEC would lose a good one but he may have sights set on rebuilding the Irish and uniting the Notre Dame nation.  That is a high calling.  ANYthing can happen.  I am sure he will be focused on the SEC Championship game but the outcome of the Stanford ND game will be interesting to see what happens next.

To finish my point(s) tonight, I am an atheist, I do not believe in organized religion, I cannot understand Tim's blind faith, but I respect it.  I sometimes feel a bit of sadness for people who believe so whole heartedly in organized religion and the bible, but I can set that aside from my love of football and good people.  Tim is a great person and a great football player, forget about the hype, hate, religion, etc

this was not part of the regular farwell lap.  This was way before stands were full, etc.  He fully partook in all pre, during and p;ost game activities with the rest of the team.  Wow the hate is so strong, I just don't get it

Doyle,  quit living the lie. You are, you know. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Of course not. But you are in love with a college boy. What kind of man does that make you. I'm sure you are married with kids  -- great life you have set them up for. Your article had 100% nothing to do with sports. I think I just puked in my mouth. Thanks.

OSU be cool

HEY BUCKYEYE
that is your style--must be TOLD to do something.  Go get a Bible and obey the words in it.  If you declare something--and you have---you had better get on with a prayer.  That is just the way it is and you can hear it from me or hear it one day when it is too late.  Religion is the only thing that God measures us by--not by Touchdowns or Tackles.  Tim Tebow has opened this discussion--that is how God works.
Read the Bible.  Take it for what it is--guidance.
OSU is a great school but owns no property in Heaven.  Thanks--and take your energy to the Good Word.
