Terrelle Pryor thinks you're stupid

Posted on: January 2, 2011 11:19 am

Full disclosure: I want to believe in Ohio State. I live in Ohio, my two kids will attend college most likely in Ohio, and my goal is that they attend Ohio State.

So this question is not coming from a Buckeyes basher when I ask the following:

How stupid does Terrelle Pryor think we are?

The memorabilia he sold, against NCAA rules, basically got a free pass from me. Seriously, check out my reaction to the story that Pryor and four teammates would be suspended next season, but be allowed to play Tuesday night in the Sugar Bowl. I loved that reaction from the NCAA. If my reaction was pro-Ohio State, so be it. I'm an Ohio guy, and my initial thoughts were of other Ohio residents.

But this story ...

This car story ...

Complete garbage. Everything about it stinks, from the alleged NCAA crime to the announced excuse. All of it. Garbage.

In a nutshell, Pryor has a habit of getting his hands on cars -- nice cars -- from Columbus-area dealerships, and then getting caught speeding in them. Someone smarter than me, please figure out the odds on that:

Pryor has these cars -- nice cars -- for a day or two, and without fail, he gets caught speeding. In that tiny, day-or-two window of time.

Every time.

Garbage.

I don't believe it. Sorry, I don't. I don't believe Pryor had those cars for only a day or two. I don't believe the car dealer. I don't believe Ohio State. I don't believe any of you.

I still want my kids to go to Ohio State. But at the moment, I want Terrelle Pryor to turn pro after the Sugar Bowl. Don't come back next season. I can live with you avoiding punishment for your memorabilia "ignorance."

But I'm not sure I can stomach the sight of you in an OSU uniform in 2011. That'll be my kids' school, you know. And Terrelle Pryor is starting to make me sick.

your so right looks like this guy is horrible at covering his tracks.. figures thats what happens when u bring in dumbasses that have been poor there whole life.. u get a taste of money and then the greed kicks in.. Why hasnt there been like a commision or anything started to insure that these things wont happen before they happen.. im sure people on campus see a kid on a scholarship from a poor backround driving a brand new benz with no job and they dont say anything?? cmon.. most of these athletes talk to there coaches and deans on the daily. i know for a fact that when Aaron Maybin was about to get drafted by the bills Paterno and the dir. of athletics at penn state talked to him everyday.. the man had on a 75k dollar diamond neckless and charm on draft night.. i know i know advance on his contract... but at what point did he get that advance and how many people knew???  ill tell you now he had that thing before he anounced the draft..

The entire "pay to play" or other kickbacks in NCAA ball is going to do to the sport what steroids did to the MLB. As it stands, I'm 100% convinced that countless major colleges and players are involved in it. Landing that star QB, RB or WR in your school's program can easily be the difference between a Championship game or a 8-4 season. Colleges know that and are willing to take the risk.

Yeah I seem to remember that almost a quarter of FSU's players were suspended when we played Kentucky in a bowl game a few years ago for recieving answers for an online music class, and FSU got their butts kicked. Then those same players had to serve a 4 game suspension the following year. Didn't recieve money for selling jerseys or recieving cars. Just did what probly anyone of us would have done if were given answers to an online class. So if you break the rules aren't you automatically ineligible until you serve your penalty? WTF is going on here NCAA? Why are you bending the rules for OSU but then go an take away 14 wins from a legendary coach like Bobby Bowden who has been nothing but an icon for college football. Oh wait, I'm sure Bobby was the one who gave the players the answers to the online test. The NCAA is about as shaddy as the US government!

How retarded does Doyle look in his profile pic?!

I think the image he's trying to create as a "bad-ass writer" is hilarious.  Way to go, Doyle.  You used to practice actual journalism but over the past year or so all of your articles are just stupid dribble about who you hate, who you don't believe, who you could beat up, etc.

I used to read your stuff for its good insights.  Now you're just the loudmouth at the back of the classroom who has to resort to more and more extremes to get attention.  I imagine those 2 kids can't wait to go to college to get away from you.

Good example of what full ride means at Ohio State.

Interesting to note that for the most part a player likely could make it through the four years on one single low interest loan payable later.

Although it does make sense that the Uni should keep the players fed and housed with a few dollars to spend on clothing. It's not really a full ride unless the parents help.

Getting Harbugh will make Michigan a contender eventually but crushing? It might take a few years of recruiting bigger, faster and coaching defense. That doesn't happen over night unless Rich Rod isn't doing that bad a job and he can walk into a decent situation.
