LeBron is stupid, gutless

Posted on: January 13, 2011 8:09 am

The title pretty much says it all, doesn't it? LeBron James is a moron, and LeBron James is a coward. This stuff is obvious, but James hasn't gotten to the point -- doesn't deserve to ever get to the point -- where his crimes against common sense and courtesy should be ignored or written off as old news.

Although it is getting rather old. In a delightful, how-low-can-he-go sort of way.

The latest was James' declaration that "karma is a b----" after Cleveland was routed by 55 points by the Lakers on Tuesday night. Shortly after the game went final, James sent out his Tweet heard 'round the world, commenting on karma and concluding that "'God sees everything!"

James never mentioned Cleveland specifically, but he didn't have to. The timing was obvious. The implication was clear. Cleveland had been mean to him when he left for the Heat, the townsfolk burning his jersey and the owner firing off a red-hot letter to the fans vowing to win a title before "the self-proclaimed King."

After that 55-point loss to the Lakers, Cleveland had the worst record in the NBA. Miami was No. 1 in the East. Karma, James told us, is a b----.

After the world recoiled in disgust at James' cruelty, James backed off: That Tweet wasn't directed at Cleveland. He didn't say who it was directed to, didn't say specifically or even give a hint generically, meaning that was a lie right up there with "the dog ate my homework" or "I had no idea what the word contraction meant."

And in case anyone saw through the transparency of his lie that he hadn't been talking about Cleveland, James said something else: That wasn't even him who wrote that Tweet. Here's a hint to James, and to future liars everywhere: When you're giving two different excuses, telling two completely unrelated stories to cover your tracks, you're busted. You know it. We know it.

So finally, after the contraction fiasco followed by this Tweet nonsense, what we know is this: James isn't smart enough to know when he's about to say something stupid. And he isn't brave enough to stand behind his words when the world calls him on his stupidity.

At this point, maybe he should just shut up.

I don't care for Lebron, so say what you want  but at the end of day  he has over $100 mil, travels from city to city, has the choice of the finest women, and gets to play basketball for fun and money.   While you guys are on the sideline on holding his jock strap.

Green Fingers,

You may be as dumb as Lebron......  THis article is pretty black and white.  LeBron continues to try to rise above the situation by being a bigger jack arse than before.  He sent the tweet aimed at the Cavs, but when questioned about it he denied it was at the Cavs and then denied writing it.  If anyone needs a SACK it is Lebron, and asmit he is an idiot.

You're dead wrong Respected.

Fact: The Cavs were exploring adding one of the following 3 to their roster. Larry Hughes, Joe Johnson, or Michael Redd. James wanted Hughes, so that's who the Cavs signed.

Fact: Last year the Cavs were in the market for Amare Stoudemire. James told Cavs brass he'd prefer to keep JJ Hickson and add Antawn Jamison. The Cavs took his advice.

Fact: The Cavs tried every year to add to their roster. James made it difficult to do so since he refused to talk about whether or not he would sign a contract extension.

Now, in my mind the Cavs management team (Danny Ferry in particular) should have made the personnel decisions without input from LeBron, but they were truly trying to keep him happy. Bad management, but lets not pretend the Cavs didn't try to improve their roster or that James did not have a say in who he played with.

Green Fingers:
You and Lebron should hang out... you're both clueless.  Perhaps YOU weren't offended by his tweet (I wasn't either), but many people were.  Doyel isn't saying that Lebron can tweet what he wants. The real point of the Doyle's article (which you missed with your Lebron-like understanding) is that Lebron tweeted it... but then said he it wasn't directed at Cleveland... wait... no... actually, he never tweeted anything.  Its not the orginal tweet that is crime (that was just poor taste) rather it is the lying and being a coward, when he can't stand the "heat" of his own statements.

As much as I hate Doyel and I usually disagree with him he is spot on here.  I am sorry but its bad enough that LeBron Shames posted a tweet that we all know was directed and Cleveland but now hes trying to pretend that it wasnt directed at Cleveland.  LeBron has shown time and time again that he is completely classless and is extremely childish.  Its a shame, when he first came in the league he seemed like a breath of fresh air.  He seemed like a humble kid who had checked his ego at the door, but I guess it was either all an amazing act on LeBron's part or all the fame and success changed him.  There is nothing worse than trying to cover something up and it being blatantly obvious.  You would think LeBron Shames would have learned from dunkgate.  The cover up is always worse than the crime.  Just admit that it was at Cleveland because we all know it was, dont try and cover up something that obvious and insult the fans intelligence.

Gilbert is not cheap the Cavs had one of the highest payrolls in the league and he went out and over paid for whatever players lequit thought he needed.  The players on that team were the ones his quitness wanted.  The bottom line is when it really matters he quits faster than the French Army.

Doyel is Stupid, Gutless

What a bullshit article!!  Doyel really should shut up if this is the best he can come up with.  LeBron had every right twitter what he wanted.  Contrary to Doyel's suggestion, no one, let alone the world, is recoiling after LeBron's tweet after the Cavs loss.  This is such a non issue it isn't funny.  If you're offended by LeBron's tweet, and that means you Doyel, then you are a total Pussy!!!  Grow a set why don't you.

Shaq was addition by subtraction considering he can only give 5 solid minutes a game. Ilgauskas is a role player who can't score in the low post, and West is a nutcase who has appeared in 5 games this season. Maybe they compete for the 2nd worst team in the league instead of being undoubtedly the worst if they had last year's squad minues LeBron.

But yeah, LeBron had all the pieces he needed to win in Cleveland. Without some injuries the Cavs would even be contenders this year, right?! What about the
