Ochocinco + Belichick = LOL

Chad Ochocinco with the New England Patriots? Chad Ochocinco with Bill Belichick?

Gotta admit, I don't see that one ending well. Maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part, seeing how I'm not a big fan of Ochocinco, or people like him.

You know the people I'm talking about. It's the people you see when you're out at the mall. It's the gaggle of teenage girls, all of them talking louder than the next and exaggerating their movements for show, their need for attention so transparent that it drives you nuts.

That's Ochocinco. His need for attention is so transparent, it drives me nuts.

And now he goes to New England? Really?

Ochocinco wants to dance with stars. He wants to ride a bull. He wants to play professional soccer.

Bill Belichick wants him to play football.

Ochocinco wants to make empty talk about wrestling alligators, fighting UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, fighting a pro boxer.

Tom Brady wants him to run his route, exactly as it's drawn up, every time.

Ochocinco wants to have a footrace with a horse. He wants to celebrate touchdowns by wearing a blazer that says he'll be in the Hall of Fame, even as his inability to focus on football has already cost him his place at Canton. He wants to be liked.

The Patriots don't care if you like them. They just want to kick your ...

Ochocinco to New England? Seems like a bad idea. But then, to me, all of Ochocinco's ideas seem like a bad idea.

Ochocinco + Belichick = LOL

Isn't this what people said about Randy going to the Patriots in the '07 season? Washed up after his couple seasons as a Raider? Belichick not going to be able to tame him? If you people seriously think that the Patriots made a mistake here, you're crazy. The Patriots have gambled on players thorughout the last decade, and EVERY one of the big names they brought in with doubts from spectators have worked out perfectly fine, if not spectacular. They make the rest of NFL management look like toddler's year in and year out in the draft and free agency. I HATE them, as I'm a Buffalo fan, but damn do I respect them. I wouldn't be surprised if Ochocinco has 1200 yds and 14 td's this year; he's a big target for Brady.

Ochocinco + Belichick = LOL

Michael Irvin has 3 Suber Bowl Rings - guess who has less than 1 - Chad Ochocinco.
Enough Said..... They don't let people in the HOF purely based on stats -
They also look at career accomplishments. And Chad's most famous accomplishment was changing his name from Johnson to Ochocinco.
I don't think the HOF committee cares. Ochocinco is a CLOWN.... and not the kind that makes you laugh.

#85 plus Brady = move them chains.

People are talking about how OCHOCINCO doesn't have much speed anymore but for anyone who watches their team give up 8 yards on third and seven repeatedly, moving the chains and keeping the defense off the field is really a winning formula...and along with Welker and Gronkowski and Hernandez the Pat'a seemed poised to be there at the end...AGAIN!

Ochocinco + Belichick = LOL

Um, Gregg, in case you haven't noticed, Bill Belichick knows all about Ochocinco's goofball ways and apparently doesn't mind them. He's on record - on camera, no less - as saying he actually LIKES Chad. Which isn't to say that he won't ask Ocho to tone it down a bit... Which brings me to my second point: Ochocinco DOES want to play football. He's not going to dog it and take plays off like a certain now-departed wideout we all remember. Third point: Ocho is beside himself with delight at being out of Cincy and getting the opportunity to catch passes from a future first-ballot Hall-of-Fame quarterback. He's not going to f**k that up.

ruined his HOF career?

1 reception more than Michael Irvin as of today
1 TD more than Michael Irvin as of today
About 1100 yards less than Irvin as of today

guess who's in the HOF? Michael Irvin

guess who has a few years left in the tank and will surpass the yardage mark of Irvin in the near future?

I am a Cowboys fan and he is absolutely going to bury Irvin's #'s when he is done - and now with NE he gets his chance at rings.

Ochocinco + Belichick = LOL

The Haynesworth one surprised me, but this one not at all. Exactly the type of move id expect from Belichick, Chad Johnson will fit in well with the Patriots. They always take guys who everyone thinks is over the hill and gets 2-3 more years out of them then dumps them. This is no different.

They are rarely factual, rarely new worthy, and are always written as if for a desperate cry for attention.

They are columns, not articles.  They are written as opinion or view point, not a news article.  If you dont like it dont read it.  BTW, you are reading this from HIS BLOG!

Any way his is exactly right about Ochocinco, an extremely talented football player who is an attention whore that allowed his ego to ruin what could have been a great hall of fame type career.  Now he will just be remember as a very good reciever, known for his off the field antics as much as his on the field abilities.

go do some research....Belichick is a big fan of Ocho and always has been.  Loves his work ethic.

you have a pic with a sledgehammer...that's not trying to call attention to yourself at all.

Ochocinco + Belichick = LOL

Chad HAD some talent. He's 33 and hasn't been a true threat since 2007...a 37 year old Terrell Owens out-performed him last season for crying out loud. Forget he and Belichick's conflicting personalities, Ochocinco is borderline washed-up.
