Please, Kobe, please. Stop lying.

I'm sick and tired of reading that Kobe Bryant is considering playing overseas during the NBA lockout. Turkey, China, Italy -- all destinations have been raised.

All are lies.

Kobe Bryant has a finite number of games left in his deteriorating knees, and he knows it. He also has some major individual goals left, not one of which -- not one -- can be achieved anywhere but in the NBA. Currently he is eighth on the all-time scoring list. Shaquille O'Neal is within easy reach at No. 7, but not if Kobe blows out what's left of his knees in Italy. And of course the big target is Michael Jordan at third. Jordan is two, maybe three seasons away. I'm telling you now, Kobe's knees will be a struggle to play more than two seasons. A third? Doubtful. And he knows it.

Do you really think he's going to waste a single game in what's left of his career to play in a foreign country, even Italy? Do you?

Do you?

O...and if Kobe is soo concerned about his knees, why has he been playing pickup games throughout the summer? I realize they are not ultra-competitive for the most part, but if you were as concerned as Doyel seems to be about your knees wouldn't you be avoiding as much random wear and tear as possible?...especially when you aren't getting offered 600,000 per?

Do I think there's a chance? Yes...of course. It's 3 million bucks. Kobe will be able to play until the Lakers kick him off the team. Because of the quick money he can make and the guarantee that he walks away from the game when HE wants to, he has a pretty clear road to do whatever he wants. I don't see why you are convinced he's just putting on a show, it's not like Kobe needs press, especially press that calls attention to him duping us...Is he going to play in Italy? Who knows, but simply because you're sick of reading about it doesn't mean that there's no chance. If Kobe was a less "honored" player on a team that didn't care about him, you'd have a point. But he's the face of the franchise and will leave when he wants to leave...bad knees or not.

10 games...3 million dollars?  Of course Kobe Bryant is going to take this an run...Why wouldn't he?  If you were offered 3 mill for 10 games you wouldn't?  You wouldn't?

If history has taught us anything, it's that the Kobester needs and demands the attention and the spotlight. Hate to agree with Doyel, but he's spot on with this one. Really can't see Kobeashi playing in Turin or Florence for a few mill. Obviously; all of us would jump across the pond for a few hundred K to feed our families, but I'm quite sure Senor Bryant doesn't need the cash that badly.

I think djmcdade is right on the money

I think djmcdade is right on the money on the Kobe situation except for the fact I'm almost sure she set all that up. One thing djmcdade said wrong is they think she may have had other intercorse that day but the fact is she DID have intercorse that sme day with her boyfriend then later with Kobe. I can't say how gross that is and it speaks loads of her credability and who knows what he did to her "before" Kobe got to her on the way to a big paycheck.  Btw REDWINGS 1969 is a moron and should be banned from posting after useing the sick response he gave saying another blogger would "EAT KOBE" for money. I'm disturbed and very disapointed if they let that kind of language run on this site.

I'm sure Doyel has spoke to him and Kobe's given him his cliche answers and prepared sound-bites like usual, but as to knowing Kobe's true outlook...I know about as much as Doyel does about the guy.
