Broncos 29, Steelers 23 in OT

DENVER -- He's no longer a novelty, no longer a mystery, no longer a fluke. Tim Tebow is now a playoff-winning quarterback, and not because he managed this game.

He won it.

With Tebow tying two franchise records set by John Elway and throwing the winning touchdown pass in overtime, the Broncos defeated the Steelers 29-23 Sunday to advance to the next round of playoffs, next weekend at New England.

Tebow threw for 316 yards and ran for 50, and produced touchdowns each way. He joined Elway as the only Denver quarterbacks in the postseason to (1) complete two 50-yard passes and (2) throw and run for a touchdown, both in the same game.

Tebow needed just 10 completions to surpass the 300-yard mark, throwing rarely but gouging the Steelers for huge chunks of yardage when he did. That included his 80-yarder to Demaryius Thomas on the first play of overtime for the winning points.

Thomas finished with 204 yards on four catches.

Give Denver and Tebow a lot of credit for the win.  But give Ike Taylor the blame.

He was beat on a 50 yarder , a 65 yarder, and then the 80 yard game winner.  Plus he had 2 pass interference penalties!

It is not capable to play worse than that.  The Steelers D always preaches "keep things in front of you" and then make the tackle.
Tebow has trouble completing 10 yarders - so Taylor decides to help him out by letting his man run right by him.  What a joke.
Credit Tebow for getting him the ball, but those 3 throws he was wide open and won them the game.
Tebows made one great throw of the day - the pass to Royal. hat was a great throw,  Again the defender lets the WR behind him!!
Ridiculous.

Great play calls by Denver too.  Horrible calls by Lebeu i thought.  His "genius" moniker is wearing out.  How can you consistently have Woodlay and Harrison backing up in zone??  They needes then rushing to get pressure.  But good blocking too.  When they did rush they didnt get much push.

Big deal here too - Safety Ryan Clark being out.  The secondary would have been MUCH better with him, he makese the calls and gets everyone set.  Too many blown assignments, like on the game winner.  Mundy ran up to the line of scrimmmage and the WR Thomas ran right by him.  Great game by Thomas.

Mulatto is a jerk. Too bad people can't give credit to a winner. Example - you won't see Mike Freeman praise Tebow for a very good - great game - over 350 yards total offense and no turnovers. Yet, if he loses next week and throws a couple of picks, Freeman will rip him apart. If you tear a guy down when he has a bad game, but won't give him credit for a good game, you are a weak person or a hater. If you wish anyone an injury just because you don't like him or his fans, you are a pathetic human being.

Job well done by Tebow, but simply winning a playoff game doesn't nullify all the concerns about his ability to be a fully proficient as an NFL quarterback.  Rivers is still top dog in the AFC west.

Real classy comment, maybe we should wish you an injury and have to go on disability. But, with a comment like that, you're the type of person who'd probably want that. Loser!

It's about time Doyle gives gives Tebow some real credit. After all Tebow has been responsable for one of the laziest NFL reporting seasons for most of these columnist. Can't come up with anything I'll write about Tebow. It really shows how sensationalized sports media has gotten, kinda sad.

To actually wish someone suffer a career ending injury shows that you are a sick, pathetic individual. Hopefully you have no children to see what kind of scum they have as a parent.

Very uncool MulattoKing, I really hope you don't mean that, and that you are just having a bad day.  Tomorrow will be better, good luck.
