Broncos 29, Steelers 23 in OT

DENVER -- He's no longer a novelty, no longer a mystery, no longer a fluke. Tim Tebow is now a playoff-winning quarterback, and not because he managed this game.

He won it.

With Tebow tying two franchise records set by John Elway and throwing the winning touchdown pass in overtime, the Broncos defeated the Steelers 29-23 Sunday to advance to the next round of playoffs, next weekend at New England.

Tebow threw for 316 yards and ran for 50, and produced touchdowns each way. He joined Elway as the only Denver quarterbacks in the postseason to (1) complete two 50-yard passes and (2) throw and run for a touchdown, both in the same game.

Tebow needed just 10 completions to surpass the 300-yard mark, throwing rarely but gouging the Steelers for huge chunks of yardage when he did. That included his 80-yarder to Demaryius Thomas on the first play of overtime for the winning points.

Thomas finished with 204 yards on four catches.

That is the way the cookie crumbles.  Injuries happen and at inopportune times..deal with it.  Sounds like sour grapes to me and please refer to my previous ifs and buts post for how life really is.

I just finished watching the Broncos defeat the Steelers. Wow what a great game. I enjoy watching Tim Tebow play his heart out and put all the analysts in their place. But what really upset me was the post game show. I just lost all respect for everyone of the analysts. What right do they have mocking Tebow or God ?  Bottom line is that they MOCKED both Tebow and God. They had no reason to do that and they should be ashamed of themselves unless of course they are non-believers or just ignorant. They mocked Tebow by bowing their heads on their hands up just like Tebow does. No Class!!!

GREAT JOB TEBOW AND THE BRONCOS!!!!

Good people like other good people.  Vick hasn't proven that yet and time is running out on his NFL career.  Maybe some public service or missionary work will improve that possibilty.  Respect is earned not given away. When Vick respects himself then respect for others falls into place and vice versa.

No, this was a fluke. The Steelers were incredibly banged-up. Tebow played well, but this win was a fluke.

Big lay by Dumerville to force Pit out of field goal range.  Several big passing plays.  For a while I was afraid Denver was going to play prevent defense for the whole 2nd half.  McGahee ran hard and sold every play-action fake, too bad he fumbled cuz he otherwise played a good game.  Maybe Tebow can be simply appreciated as a football player now and not be seen as a challenge to anyone's beliefs.

People like you are what's wrong with the world. If jerks like you would spend their time building up people instead of tearing them down this world might be a better place.

Hey wings tell that to the little kids in costa rica that send me letters thanking me for helping build a soccer field for them to have a nice place to play at. Tell that the the people in Haiti that I got a burn mark up my left forearm that will be there forever when i was down there helping out when the earthquake happened in 2010. Theres nothing in my life to be re-thought about. The truth is I dont think dog-fighting is as bad as some people. So what. But i will use my time and finanaces to help PEOPLE in need. But thats neither here or there when comparing Tebow and Vick ON THE FIELD. When comparing the two as QUARTERBACKS.....once again....WHY DOES TEBOW GET A PASS FROM NFL FANS WHEN VICK DIDNT/DOSENT?

Character and values count 24-7 Bub.  Vick got plenty of passes and chose to waste them with a thug lifestyle off the field.  Vick can only blame himself for his misfortunes and even mentioning his name in the same paragraph with Tebow I consider an insult to all that is good.  Tony Dungy a class, character man has mentored Vick and Michael needs to continue to listen to Tony.  Maybe listening to Tim Tebow would help him too.  But to get back and be forgiven by the ticket buying public Vick is going to have to lose all those Hampton Roads duds from his young adulthood in his entourage.  And Mullatto bad character will get you banned from the NFL forever...thats a fact and Vick is on his last chance.

I've been amazed at how many people have believed that Tebow could not play in the NFL.  Sure, this is only one season, but the NFL has had time to figure him and the Broncos out at this point.  I don't know much about quarterback mechanics, but he sure seemed to be connecting with his receivers when he really needed to.  I pull for Tebow just so all of the talking heads have to eat crow and keep justifying their positions that he isn't a good pro player without having seen him play in the league.  Well, he's playing and so far he has only lost a couple of games, two of which came against the top teams in the league.

Yes, I get tired of him being so overt about his religion.  I'm religious, too, so I have nothing against him for being religious.  But people need to realize that he isn't the first player to take a knee and pray in an endzone or reference Jesus or God in a post-game press conference.

People need to shut up about Tebow already and let the guy play.
