Broncos 29, Steelers 23 in OT

DENVER -- He's no longer a novelty, no longer a mystery, no longer a fluke. Tim Tebow is now a playoff-winning quarterback, and not because he managed this game.

He won it.

With Tebow tying two franchise records set by John Elway and throwing the winning touchdown pass in overtime, the Broncos defeated the Steelers 29-23 Sunday to advance to the next round of playoffs, next weekend at New England.

Tebow threw for 316 yards and ran for 50, and produced touchdowns each way. He joined Elway as the only Denver quarterbacks in the postseason to (1) complete two 50-yard passes and (2) throw and run for a touchdown, both in the same game.

Tebow needed just 10 completions to surpass the 300-yard mark, throwing rarely but gouging the Steelers for huge chunks of yardage when he did. That included his 80-yarder to Demaryius Thomas on the first play of overtime for the winning points.

Thomas finished with 204 yards on four catches.

You and Tim Tebow should be best buddies then. He routinely goes over to the Phillipines to give back.

I can't believe the CBS Post-Game news crew. Instead of talking about Big Ben's amazing comeback in the fourth to tie the game. They make fun of Tebow's celebration pose? Really? How bush league!

Hell of a game by a guy that was having a hard time even walking.

Phew PP1212....  I was almost nervous there thinking Tebow coming of the bench on a team with a losing record (1-4) and gettting them into the playoffs and actually winning was a good thing.  Hopefully Rivers has a good game... Next Season!

Between Demaryious Thomas putting up his huge receiving yards today, and Calvin Johnson yesterday, perhaps GA Tech should now be known as Wide Receiver U. Stephen Hill, who just declared early for the draft, may get a few more looks because of these two...Taking about doing a great job in your first playoff games; both of these guys really excelled.

Ike Taylor had his ! handed to him out there today and lost the game for the Steelers...not just on the final play but several others.  I don't want to hear that he is an All-pro caliber CB.  He's average at best.  James Harrison didn't show up today and lost contain on many plays where Tebow or a back bouced it outside.  Sorry, but Dick LeBeau waited too long to pressue Tebow.  After he saw Ike get beat on that first long pass to Thomas, he should've realized he can't play him man...needed to blitz.  Kiesel, Hampton going down with injuries early.  Time for the young guys to take over next year.

Ben played like crap in 2nd qtr and his ankle obviously limited him significantly.  Adreneline took over in 2nd half and he looked more like the Ben we know.  Shame the D had to ruin his comeback performance.  Kudos to Ike Redman for his MVP-like performance for the Steelers.

Congrats to Tebow and the Broncos, the kid is truly a winner.    &nbs

Mulatto...anyone who wishes a career-ending injury on any athlete is the worst kind of bush-league scumbag. You are a punk.

Far from a punk just tired of the Tebowites. Yes the guy win games but he is the luckiest SOB in the league. Im tired of the "all he does is win" excuse for all his short comings as a professional quarterback. For years all Mike Vick did/does is win games yet constantly it's he's nothing but a RB playing the QB position. I would bet a years salary that the same folks praing Tebow are the same people taking the same shots a Vick that we are taking at Tebow now. And please dont bring "chrachter" into the conversation because not everyone is a jesus junkie and not everyone believes that dog fighting is the greatest sin in the world. ON THE FIELD Vick has a much better QB skill set then Tebow and never has gotten the love this guy gets.

And back to the scumbag remark, unless you've gone out to "3rd world countries" and helped humanity like i have dont you cant judge me.
