As if the Jets could be even more dislikeable, we have this: Multiple players ripping starting quarterback Mark Sanchez in the most gutless way possible. No, not on Twitter. See, using Twitter would have required attaching their name to it.

The Jets? They ripped Sanchez anonymously through the New York Daily News.

And this is not me defending Sanchez. It's not. He could well be "lazy," as one gutless wonder told the newspaper. He could be a "baby," as another gutless Jet said. It's entirely possible that "he goes in a hole when someone tells him the truth," as someone sniveled.

But there's a right way to do things, and a wrong way, and damn if the Jets don't take the wrong way every ... single ... time.

No need to list the transgressions here -- CBSSports.com's server holds just 14.74 kajillion megabytes -- but idiots are aplenty. Rex Ryan, Santonio Holmes, Bart Scott and all these gutless wimps ripping Sanchez anonymously ...

The only person in the organization with any gumption is the backup quarterback, Greg McElroy, who attached his name to some fierce criticism last week. Everyone else? Gutless. No wonder the team choked all season.

Sanchez is not that good of a QB. Without a running game he looks very shakey. What I do like about Sanchez is his 4th quater play. He comes alive and looks fantastic. What the players are saying is that he does not put the effort  that it takes to win. What is missing was good offensive line play, LT got old and his receivers got attitude. Still this is New York and they missed the playoffs after going to the last AFC champioship games, expect some bickering.

Look let`s stick with the facts , 1) Jet`s didn`t have the team to win period ! 2) There are multiple problems with this team . 3) They need to address better their needs . 4) The head coach needs to boost his team in private , not in the newspaper . 5) Sanchez regressed making the same mistakes he made , in his 1st 2 yrs plain & simple . The he said he said isn`t worth repeating , because it`s a waste of time . What is important is to address the things i`ve mentioned , and if that means benching or trading Sanchez & it betters the JETS then you do it ! Being a JET fan for over 40yrs entitles me to be greedy , i`am not one with the let`s wait till next year mentality . It`s been far too many next years , so here is my advice to JETS . Stop all the madness & start winning , and what i mean by that is your division which means beat NEW ENGLAND ! We will NEVER be good enough if all you can do is hope to be a WILD CARD team , because if that is your playoff format it will be another 40 plus years before another Super Bowl will be seen ! We have regressed as a team & organization , Woody needs to stop this sophmoric bantor which he allows his head coach to do , i will say this if Sanchez is our starting QB next year they ALL better produce ! And one more thing on the Pats for us not to beat that team was embarrassing they have a great QB , 2 TE`s & one WR in Welker that`s it ! No defense , special teams or running game yet we could`nt exploit that team ??? Forget Super Bowl predictions first thing win your division , then let`s talk 2nd round & 3rd round of playoffs . When that has been taken care of , THEN talk Super Bowl till that time shut up & take care of business .

Sanchez is a sub-par quarterback. Period. He reminds of of Alex Smith. He can make great plays at times and manage a game, but can't bear the weight of the game on his shoulders. Just because people ripped him anonymously, doesn't make them gutless. Sanchez needs to step up and get better. Doing it anonymously sends that message without Sanchez being able to hold a grudge with those players. Sanchez needs to take the hint, and work harder. He can be a good QB, but does seem lazy at times. Does he quit, no. However, instead of thinking hard and finding a good read, he will check down or throw it away.

Doyle, chill out. There have been worse sins within a locker room before. Get off of Sanchez's sack.

Yikes.  There have been a couple of Doyel articles I've agreed with recently.  I'm scared.  Maybe there is something to all that Mayan 2012 stuff.

I Have Finally Found Something I Agree on With Doyel  HaHa

The Problem with Sanchez is the COACHING ,he has the ability and the Jets coaching is horrendas from the Head Toe Man on down. If Sanchez was on the Pats Playing for Belichik (he would be a all Pro) just look at what Belichik and Josh Mcdaniels where  able to with Matt Cassell when Tom Brady went Down with that season ending injury a couple years ago

Doyel's Head is Spinning Again

Doyel, there's no need to go overboard.

"The only person in the organization with any gumption is the backup quarterback ... Everyone else? Gutless."

Why do you have to resort to exaggeration? Do you REALLY think the entire organization except for one person is gutless?

It's as if you suspect nobody is reading your blog, so you think you have to go over-the-top to get some attention. Grow up. Just tell the truth; don't make things up.

Exactly. Anonymous sources are great when you're able to break a big story, but someone critiques a teammate anonymously and all of a sudden it's the crime of the century.
