Cowardly Jets rear their cowardly heads

As if the Jets could be even more dislikeable, we have this: Multiple players ripping starting quarterback Mark Sanchez in the most gutless way possible. No, not on Twitter. See, using Twitter would have required attaching their name to it.

The Jets? They ripped Sanchez anonymously through the New York Daily News.

And this is not me defending Sanchez. It's not. He could well be "lazy," as one gutless wonder told the newspaper. He could be a "baby," as another gutless Jet said. It's entirely possible that "he goes in a hole when someone tells him the truth," as someone sniveled.

But there's a right way to do things, and a wrong way, and damn if the Jets don't take the wrong way every ... single ... time.

No need to list the transgressions here -- CBSSports.com's server holds just 14.74 kajillion megabytes -- but idiots are aplenty. Rex Ryan, Santonio Holmes, Bart Scott and all these gutless wimps ripping Sanchez anonymously ...

The only person in the organization with any gumption is the backup quarterback, Greg McElroy, who attached his name to some fierce criticism last week. Everyone else? Gutless. No wonder the team choked all season.

its amaazing how manby people whine, b!tch, and complain about "cheating" and anything related to that.  The pats were not the only team to do that and its a fact, theyre the only idiots who got caught.  and if taping 4 different coaches give you an advantage in game then trying to decipehr which is which is your MO then so be it.  It still doesnt settle the matter on the field, the players do.  its only fans from teams that are losers and cant beat Belicheck and CO that complain about it.  get over it, life goes on.

once again Doyle likes to find heroes where only a-holes reside. Last week it was pointing out what a tough SOB that alleged rapist and pedophile Rothlisberger is, and now he wants to annoint that loser McElroy as a gumption filled hero.  In both cases he compares these his protagonists to the most despicable of people and then backs away saying "see these guys are great compared to those guys..." (anonymous detractors and Sandusky respectively).   How about the truth: these guys are just another flavor of crap.  Rothlisberger has more than enough evidence in his public records to say he's not a savory character, and not deserving of praise, it's just you forgive him but not Sandusky because he can huck a piece of leather and hobble around on one leg. Big deal, still a loser of the human race Doyle.  As for McElroy vs the anonymous masses of lockerroom snitches, they're all worthless POSs!  McElroy isn't possessed of "gumption" as you put it. He's just even more stupid than rest of that locker room full of losers and individuals.  They're all equally guilty of breaking a code of confidence and fidelity that SHOULD exist with a team, and just because you're dumb and do it publically doesnt make you brave - just dumb (and likely fired).
I don't know if you're such a hack writer that you have NOTHING to write about or what Doyle, but please (PLEASE!) stop trying to make hero stories up about these NFL villians and mental midgets in lieu of doing your job and finding a real story.  There are good people in the NFL, go find them.  If that's too much for you, just stop given kudos to the undeserving and at least point out how stupid/criminal these turds are.

Cowardly Jets rear their cowardly heads

It's a pretty sad state of affairs when your 3rd or 4th stringer is the most accountable and honest person on an obviously disappointing team.

Hey Pats, good reply. I do agree with you. But, what measures do we have in place to assure a journalist is being truthful and not pushing an agenda or just trying to keep their job? I'm saying that my faith in unbiased , factual, and truthful journalism is forever tainted. It's sad really. Print a lie and people will believe it becasue it's in the media---ask anybody running for public office or answering to a Supremer Court nominee inquistion. I don't expect journalists to really name sources if there's been an agreement , of course. But, perhaps there should not be such agreements if the "news" could be inflamantory. The whole process beckons mistrust, and smells of garbage. Again IMHO.
