Cowardly Jets rear their cowardly heads

As if the Jets could be even more dislikeable, we have this: Multiple players ripping starting quarterback Mark Sanchez in the most gutless way possible. No, not on Twitter. See, using Twitter would have required attaching their name to it.

The Jets? They ripped Sanchez anonymously through the New York Daily News.

And this is not me defending Sanchez. It's not. He could well be "lazy," as one gutless wonder told the newspaper. He could be a "baby," as another gutless Jet said. It's entirely possible that "he goes in a hole when someone tells him the truth," as someone sniveled.

But there's a right way to do things, and a wrong way, and damn if the Jets don't take the wrong way every ... single ... time.

No need to list the transgressions here -- CBSSports.com's server holds just 14.74 kajillion megabytes -- but idiots are aplenty. Rex Ryan, Santonio Holmes, Bart Scott and all these gutless wimps ripping Sanchez anonymously ...

The only person in the organization with any gumption is the backup quarterback, Greg McElroy, who attached his name to some fierce criticism last week. Everyone else? Gutless. No wonder the team choked all season.

Do you think I care.

You should. Paying $10000 a year for a home in NJ or Westchester is a joke. If you don't mind, donate the money you are burning on a timeshare in the Poconos to reserve for Mark Sanchez so you can tell him he's The Sanchise and how he's being wrongfully persecuted for his ineptitude.

Arizona is a long time coming. The commutes from Pike County have gotten old. I moved out there years ago to save on taxes and have access to the outdoors. However, it's just boring now. You can only hike the Poconos and kayak the Delaware so many times on the weekends.Just like the QB position for the Jets.Change is needed. Best of luck Brian !

YES SO YOUR CLAIM OF HE IS A UFA WOULD BE WRONG.

JUST ADMIT IT

Any player entering free agency can be franchised. Unless a contract clause states their respective team will not franchise them. Matt Flynn doesn't have that provision.

He's a UFA as soon as the season is over Brian. Anything is possible. A team has the right to franchise a 2nd string punter if they want to. Who the hell would franchise a backup QB and be forced to pay them a top 5 QB salary ? Maybe the Jaguars would.LOL. The worst franchise in football operations and should be buried next to Ronnie Van Zant down there.
