Cowardly Jets rear their cowardly heads

As if the Jets could be even more dislikeable, we have this: Multiple players ripping starting quarterback Mark Sanchez in the most gutless way possible. No, not on Twitter. See, using Twitter would have required attaching their name to it.

The Jets? They ripped Sanchez anonymously through the New York Daily News.

And this is not me defending Sanchez. It's not. He could well be "lazy," as one gutless wonder told the newspaper. He could be a "baby," as another gutless Jet said. It's entirely possible that "he goes in a hole when someone tells him the truth," as someone sniveled.

But there's a right way to do things, and a wrong way, and damn if the Jets don't take the wrong way every ... single ... time.

No need to list the transgressions here -- CBSSports.com's server holds just 14.74 kajillion megabytes -- but idiots are aplenty. Rex Ryan, Santonio Holmes, Bart Scott and all these gutless wimps ripping Sanchez anonymously ...

The only person in the organization with any gumption is the backup quarterback, Greg McElroy, who attached his name to some fierce criticism last week. Everyone else? Gutless. No wonder the team choked all season.

Gosh, I hope no one is calling Rex Ryan gutless. Have you not seen this guy before? Trust me, he's got a gut.

"Well then people, like you, are stupid. Everyone here is posting using an alias. Don't you people get it?"

If you honestly can't see the difference between fan's bashing players/teams on a message board.  Compared to football players trashing guys on their team behind their backs.  You really don't have much hope.

Let me make it nice, and easy for you to understand.

Do you go around your workplace trashing your co-workers behind their backs?  How do you think they would react if they found out?  How do you think your boss wouldn react if he found out?  I bet you wouldn't have a job for very long.

I do have to give you credit though.  That was one of the worst comparisons I've ever seen on here.

While I do not agree with anonymously ripping Snachez, always in person when calling someone out, Sanchez is a large reason for the drama and turnover with offensive coordinators going through turnstiles. Offensive gurus are only as good as their QB. Bill Walsh wouldn't of done what he did in SF without Montana. Sanchez flat out stinks and I've been a Jets fan since the early Richard Todd years ! I am sick and tired of Sanchez being protected by Rex Ryan. If Ryan was still Baltimore's DC, he'd say Sanchez is a marginal NFL QB. The problem is Sanchez is Rex's first draft pick. Rex is a stubborn SOB and refuses to admit he made a mistake. To the degree that I feel Rex will go down in flames with Sanchez in year 4 if Sanchez continues to be the marginal QB he is. Personally, Sanchez makes Ken O'Brien in 1983 look like a great QB, which O'Brien was not of course. Jets defense in 2009 and 2010 was letdown by Sanchez in those AFC Title games. Holmes, while a punk, is a talented WR. However, how can he be productive when his QB can't read coverages and utilize his skills ?

NYJ Cowards inspired by Rex Ryan

It is the culture that Rex Ryan cultivated.  He want this colorful individuals.  He wants them to be like him.  Loud mouth and opinionated.  Well now he is reaping what he sewed.  Whatever Sanchez is, it all starts with the head coach.  All these guys are looking for someone to blame.  What they don't realize is that they aren't good as the past press made them out to be.  Rex talked a good game but they couldn't back into the playoffs like they did the previous year.  Now it's all Sanchez fault?  Way to pick up your teammate!  You WIN as a team and you LOSE as a team.  But I guess this over privilege people don't get that message.  O-line, protect your QB, WRs, catch the damn ball.
What about the fact taht Santonio Holmes QUIT on the field and QUIT on his team, yet they still allow that dude to start.  Bart "overrated" Scott, looks like he CAN WAIT another year, and year, and year.

I will give them that they are the number 1 all attitude team.  Rex Ryan loves being in front of the camera more than he loves coaching.  All we ever see do is hear this guy just blah blah blah.  His brother is the same way in Dallas and his father was the same way as well... That's why all three are forbidden being at the polar ice caps at the same time.  All that hot air will cause the caps to melt and cause massive global warming.
Shut up Jets.  Lick you wounds and try to play better than you sound next year.

Sanchez was great at USC when the coordinator moved the pocket. The coordinator in New York never did that. They don't even know what they have in Sanchez. He has, however, led the Jets to back-two-back AFC title games in his career. I honestly hope that they waste a bunch of draft picks in a trade for the hurt and aging Peyton Manning and he tanks them because I am sick of Rex Ryan flapping his gums.

I am SO over the Jets!  They ALL need to grow up, shut their pie holes, take responsibility for the dysfuctional team they all created, and fix it or move on! New York Jets, my a$$ ... New York Panty Wastes!

Brian ball....what on earth are you whining about???
This "opinion" story simply said that the players who called out their QB should have the guts use their names instead of doing it without attribution.  You write some sort of retort claiming the author is lying??  Where else has this story come out??? HOW ABOUT THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS.  Brianball's comments might just be about the dumbest post every on CBSSPORTSLine.
