Justin Boren is the man. He left Michigan, ripped Rich Rodriguez and then had the gonads to transfer to Ohio State?

I love it.

And that's not sarcasm. I sincerely love it. For one thing, I don't love R-Rod. Not after the way he left West Virginia, shredding documents and relationships along the way, and then arrived at Michigan and in one month on the recruiting trail was shadier than Lloyd Carr had been in decades.

So Boren calls R-Rod what he is -- a bad guy -- and then leaves. And then transfers to Michigan's biggest rival. Michigan fans are calling Boren all sorts of emasculatory names, but let's be serious: To leave Michigan as he did, and then to show up at Ohio State, shows titanic testicles.

# of days since last michigan victory over Ohio State in football:   1,620 days and counting...

Boren family is from Pickerton, Ohio, just 20 minutes from OSU campus, and his younger brother  was recently offered (last month) by OSU as a top ranked FB nationally, which is also playing a factor here... but bottom line, Ohio State will play with meatchicken U this November in the shoe, like a whale plays with it's dead seals in the ocean.

Boren is 6'5", 320lbs, with only 4 % bodyfat, and plays nasty, and WAS your best OL returning.   I think we'll be happy to take another stud OL like that, ANY day.  Maybe he was just tired of getting the meatchicken U arse beat every November by the Scarlet & Grey.

"If you can't beat them... join 'em!"

Appy State here.

I can't wait until Boren meets Michigan. Then we will see if he is a #@ like the wolverine fans claim he is.

Testicles ,my a**.  I'm not a fan of either teams, but this guy is a low-life for leaving the team he commtitted to.  Whatever happened to loyalty?  Hopefully this guy gets to Columbus and they rip him a new one for choosing Michigan in the first place.  If I was a fan of the Buckeyes, I wouldn't be welcoming this guy with open arms...I'd be looking skeptically at a guy who has no scruples and.or no loyalty.  To leave school for one's rival school is completely and utterly disgusting.

He's an Ohio guy? Thats one of the biggest homer comments Ive heard on here in awhile!!! How long have you been reading this guy? He bashes OSU all the time.  So dont pull the "he's an Ohio guy" line.

uncomfortable work environment??? seriously??? He was worshiped at WVU.  Leave it to a hack fan to throw out words that dont hold up.

Great Doyle your new favorite player is a wuss who couldn't hack the conditioning program Rodriguez installed in the off season for the Wolverines. Just like a wuss he runs back home and signs with Michigan's biggest rival...the Suckeyes...Transfering is one thing but going to Ohio State is another thing...his dad played for Bo...enough said!

Doyle you have no clue! Can't wait until Boren plays against the Wolverines in 2009 oh bye the way it will be at the Big House! Can't wait for that game! Justin Boren will be public enemy #1.

Doyle,
It is amazing to me that you poster that blog and you have a degree and are paid by CBS to do so.  I would expect your message to come from buckeye or mountaineer fans, but not from a professional.  While I am a Michigan fan, I have not lost any sleep from Justin's transfer.  I knew that he would  go to OSU because he will attend there with his brother.  His father stated that his sons would not be at two different schools.  OSU was the obvious destination for both of them.  That's fine.  If Justin didn't want to play for Michigan, I didn't want to cheer for him there.

But your blog was downright incorrect and unprofessionally misleading. First, he did leave WVU.   He should have handled it a little better, but he left a tier 2 school for a tier 1 school.  Who can blame him?  He will be able to better recruit at Michigan than at WVU.  Second, he did shred documents.  That is a fact from my understanding.  They were his personal notes which he is entitled to shred.  Nothing of any importance to the individual was shredded.  The university later admitted that nothing inappropriate was shredded.

Next, he was shadier than Lloyd Carr had been in decades.  There aren't many stand up men like Coach Carr in the nation so he may have aggressively pursued recruits that were committed elsewhere, but Tressel just did it yesterday. Iowa did it to Michigan successfully while   Cal Penn St. tried to do it to Michigan but were unsuccessful.  How is that shady?  Seemingly, all division I coaches do it.

R-Rod is a bad guy you mentioned.  Didn't he release Boren from his scholarship?  He didn't have to.  In fact, Urban Meyer didn't release his offensive lineman this spring when he wanted to look elsewhere.  Did he talk poorly about him on the way out?  Nope.

I am fine with people leaving Michigan.  I understood it would happen. I couldn't care less if Boren went to OSU or he went to Timbuktu.  I cheer for the Wolverines.  I wouldn't care if a Buckeye fan posted your blog.  I would say it was pure passion for their team and that's what makes rivalries so much fun.  Do I find the irony of this situation of Boren going to OSU a little funny, sure I do.  It is strange, but it doesn't upset me at all.  But for an educated journalist to post the rhetoric that you did was careless and irresponsible.

He is an offensive lineman, he can get away with this because if anyone tries to come and kill him, he will kill them.  This is a ballsy move and one which he someday might regret.
