The Bengals are dumber than dirt

Posted on: August 19, 2008 1:44 pm

The Bengals signed Chris Henry, and not the Titans' Chris Henry or any other Chris Henry but the one Chris Henry that the Bengals simply cannot sign. The recidivist Chris Henry. The one who has brought so much shame to Cincinnati as a city and the Bengals as a franchise.

The Bengals signed that one.

No wonder they're the Bengals. No wonder Marvin Lewis can't win. He's intellectually challenged. Seriously. No smart man signs Chris Henry in Cincinnati after all that Chris Henry has already done in Cincinnati. Not even a man of average intellect signs Chris Henry, if that man of average intellect coaches and directs the personnel of the one franchise that Henry has burned repeatedly.

Marvin Lewis must be dumb. The Bengals clearly are ridiculous. And Chris Henry is a scumbag who will screw up again. Just a matter of time. The clock is ticking.

Tick. Tick ...

The Bengals are dumber than dirt

If Chris Henry gets his life together, He will be the best receiver the Bengals have.

Doyle acts like the Bengals have a history of winning or something. This franchise has had a history of losing and blunders on the field of play and one of the reasons it turned around recently is Marvin Lewis. The man is not a babysitter for grown men nor is he a guy whos not gunna stand up for his players, players who were dangerously close to being a superbowl team minus the Carson Palmer injury. Dint here all u Bengals fans complaining then!

The Bengals are dumber than dirt

Hey Gregg, guess what? The Bengals signed Cedric Benson today. They just got dumberer. Why would Mike Brown take a chance on a good guy like Shuan Alexander, bringing him home, giving the disgruntled fans of Cincinnati a reason to watch this awful team? Because Mike is the mostest dumberer owner in football. Cedric Benson? Season tickets for sale here. Get'em while they're... uh...uhmmm. Please take them off my hands.

The Bengals are dumber than dirt

This is why the Bungles' only chance of sniffing the post season will be few and far between. With inconsistent leadership, starting with Mike Brown and filtering through the ranks, the Bengals will never be able to sustain any sort of winning streak. The one person I feel bad for is Carson Palmer. The perverbial " good guy" stuck with a bunch of misfits. And now, Aug. 31, the Bengals have released good guys Rudi Johnsnon and Willie Anderson. The ratio of good guys to bad guys is tilting to the bad.

The Bengals are dumber than dirt

I have two very simple questions to ask that will tell all of us the answer to our dilemma, either for him or agianst him.  The first is a two parter,

1a. Would the management of the Patriots sign a player who continued to bring bad publicity to it and have kept him?

1b. Would the management of the Patriots stab Bellichek in the back like Brown just did to Marvin Lewis?

2.  How many of the other 31 teams were interested in signing him?

If you answer those two questions, you will understand that this was a horrible horrible move.  Now having said that, IF (Big IF) Henry cleans his act up, and becomes a model citizen, and performs well on the field, this will go down as a good move, however if he screws up again (which I believe he will) it will be a horrible move.  For all of those who cry to his innocence, if he was smart he would have removed himself from situations where crap like that happens, but he continues to live his life like he feels he has the right to, which is fine, just don't cry when bad stuff happens.

I've also read on multiple pages that Carson Palmer was a lobbyist for the "bring Chris back" campaign...for some reason.

The Bengals are dumber than dirt

It's not Lewis who wanted him, quite the contrary from what I've heard.

They are like that guy trying to quite smoking on TV. They make a comitment but are too tempted and break it. He's no good until week 5, they are better off getting a guy on the waiver wire not to mentioned drafted 3 receivers. There's a reason no one has picked him up. They can say it's short-term all they want but he signed a 2 year contract. Obviously they wanted him back. He said it's his last chance. With Mike Brown that will never happen. This is your 6th chance, and if I'm him I'm thinking I can do whatever I want because I'm just going to come back.
