I write this while I am grinning ear to ear as the United States have defeated Spain, the world's best Football/Soccer team (depending on how you view the sport) 2-0 in the FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa. Goals from Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey have given the American's the victory. This is one of the best days in the history of American Soccer. Coming back from getting beaten 3-1 by Italy and 3-0 by Brazil, the United States rebounded to beat Egypt 3-0, and the European Champions 2-0. In doing so, the Americans snapped 15-match winning streak by the Spanish. And to think they had to have a six goal swing on the final day of the group stage to get through. I'm always proud of the United States Mens National Team, and I can not express how delighted I am by this scoreline today.
