My seeding criteria takes strength of schedule, RPI, conference RPI, and injuries into consideration. The seeds are listed in order. I tried to avoid two conference teams playing each other in the second round.

3. Butler, Wisconsin, Stanford, Georgetown
4. Connecticut, Purdue, Washington State, Indiana
5. Michigan State, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M
6. St. Mary's, Drake, Notre Dame, Kansas State
7. Marquette, Pittsburgh, Clemson, Gonzaga
8. Arizona, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Maryland
9. BYU, Southern California, Ohio State, Rhode Island
10. Baylor, Arkansas, West Virginia, South Alabama
11. Arizona State, Saint Joseph's, Syracuse, UNLV
12. Miami, Florida, Dayton, Davidson
13. Kent State, Virginia Commonwealth, Oral Roberts, Cornell

with 3 wins this week, xavier definitely deserves a 2 seed if they win out.  and i believe uconn lost this week...  and who is saying that the A-10 is weak?  i'm pretty sure that the last time i checked, it's the #7 RPI conference out of 31.  im not positive, but i believe that is the first spot behind "the big 6."

the seedings arent important, esp projected ones

if you make the tourney, you have a chance at winning, a number next to your name is trivial

You're nuts if you think Xavier doesn't deserve a 2 seed for running the table the rest of the way out. Who deserves it more than them that's projected at a 3 or 4? I agree with you that Butler would be a joke there or really anywhere close to a 2-4 seed, but how in the world does UConn deserve more love than Xavier? The numbers speak for themselves. Besides, Xavier can go into a hostile environment where Rhode Island was 11-0 this season and in a MUST-WIN mode and grind one out, but in the same situation, against a weaker Villanova team, UConn can't make it happen. I agree that UConn is a very very good team, but Xavier still deserves a 2 over them. UConn deserves a better spot than say Stanford however, who has a horrible SOS.

"[UCONN] can beat anyone in the nation." Three days later, UCONN falls to a fairly weak Villanova team (RPI 59).

"If Uconn was in the Alantic 10, or the Horizen league you would be hearing about them being the best team in the country."

Four A-10 teams, including Xavier (RPI 7), are better than that Villanova team your Huskies just lost to. Instead of ignorantly bashing non-BCS conferences that you obviously aren't even paying attention to, watch some basketball.

You have KU as a 2 seed! What r u thinkin... no way ucla is ahead of them.  If you ask me Memphis, North Carolina, n Kansas r locked 1 seeds. For the fourth number 1 that is for tennessee, duke, ucla, and maybe even texas to decide.  As for ucla being in front of KU. Compare their loses... KU to Texas and K-State, UCLA to Texas, USC, and Washington. They both lost to Texas and KU beat USC in their matchup... I believe K-State is a much better loss than either USC or Washington...

The love that Syracuse gets do you remember last year whwn they were left out with 20 wins give me a break. Who does Westen K play no one what would their record be if they played in the big east wich from top to bottom is the best in the country. Syracuse i will give you id depleated by injury's but still step up. They should start the season #1 next year. O and 1 more thing there SOS by the end of the season should be in the top ten.

I  like the games that we play in the big east , the problem is they kill each other almost every nite. By the time they finish the season then the tourney . They are so battle tested that at times we have early round trouble. They face teams that usually have little hope, so the so-called experts put us down in seeds and face tougher teams. FINE but do it to the A CC PAC10 big 10 SEC  not just to the Beasts of the EAST ( l'ville, uconn g'town n.d. ) all should be 2,3,4 seeds uconn (2) .  go L"VILLE
