Key games:

Arizona State @ Oregon- Arizona State looks to get above .500 in the Pac-10, while Oregon needs a win to remain in the hunt.
Stanford @ UCLA- No bubble issues here, but this game is basically for the Pac-10 regular season title.
Arizona @ Oregon State- This could be it for the Wildcats, while the Beavers look for their first win in 19 games.
Xavier @ St. Joseph's- St. Joe's needs a win to improve their falling stock. A Xavier win would be a huge statement to the committee for a 2 seed.
California @ Southern California- A USC win locks them into the NCAA Tournament. Cal needs this one badly, or else their NCAA Tournament hopes are dashed.
Utah State @ Boise State- Two bubble teams fighting it out in a disappointing WAC conference.

Locks (27): Locks are teams that will make the NCAA Tournament regardless of what they do in the conference tournament. They are subject to change on a week-to-week basis.

Nice work.

I have Kansas sneaking in as a number one seed, but other than that, you nailed most of what I was thinking...

i'm a duke fan too, but as of right now, we aren't a one seed. if we beat carolina one more time, though, i feel like we get it then. most people don't expect us to but that's why they play the game

fair enough on pitt, btw. though in the event that duke does get a one seed, their resume in the status quo gets em in fo sho.

 #1 BEEF w/ This BRACKET:    &nb
sp; UNC-ASHEVILLE = BIG SOUTH CHAMPIONS-  NOT Winthrop-(who needs to pray for an @Lg ,or its NIT for the 'Throp this year.)
;     &nbs
p;     &nb
sp;     &n
bsp;  Some other problems I see:      ACC=   Miami  goes dancing, but not both them AND Maryland.I like the Terps, but  sadly gotta go w/the  Canes if it came down to it;and they could be a good bracket sleeper depending on their seed love and strength of region...    &n
bsp;  Big 10= Why is THE Ohio State University even on the bubble- no way they baile; They will be 1 and Done IF they squeak in...
SOUTHER CONF= Davidson is dominant-but LOOK OUT for the likes of App. State ,UTC, OR the mighty Spartans of UNC-GREENSBORO. Davidson will be 1 and DONE,too- unless they get an absolut creampuff 1st round pairing.   SEC= Is gonna be interesting- hey can Ole Miss FINALLY get a NCAA berth?!      we'll see what develops in the next 2 weeks!    Go (UNCA) BULLDOGS!!!

i have duke at a 1 personally, i know it wont happen but in comparason to the others we are close enough to have an arguement. louisville is definitely a top 3 seed, i mean without injuries, this team would have been easily a number 2 and will have a shot at the final four this season looking at their current, healthy roster.

It is going to be hard for Louisville to get a 2 seed because the teams ahead of them keep winning.

For Pittsburgh, if they won their game against West Virginia, they would be a lock in my mind. Now, I think they need 2 more wins to be a lock, but one win will probably be good enough to get them in.

as always, great work!

what's pitt have to do to get a lock in your mind? i feel like they've done enough to get in.. you've got em as a 7 seed with USC, and i feel like pitt's resume is as impressive if not moreso than USC's.

Just my opinion, i guess,

i would have UNC-Asheville as the champ for the Big South. It is your bracket and knowing me you're right, so don't even sweat to this comment. Otherwise, nice bracket. I think Rhode Island is also closer to the tourney than what you think. Well, i enjoyed looking and seeing Gonzaga as a 6, i was wondering if anyone was going to put them as a 5 yet.
