A Giant Victory

Sure I dislike the New York Giants. Sure, you can even say I "hate" them. As a Redskins fan I am obligated to hate all other teams from the NFC East.

But what the Giants did tonight was special. They beat the Packers. In Lambeau Field. In cold weather. In the Playoffs. That says a lot about what Tom Coughlin has done with this group of players. They came in as underdogs. Big underdogs. Some could even say they were bigger underdogs in this game than the Chargers were against the Patriots. They had injuries. Lots of them. Sam Madison was hurt. Jeremy Shockey is out. But they still found a way to win against Brett Favre and the Lambeau Legend.

So for that, I have to tip my hat to the New York (football) Giants for tonight. Congratulations on a hard-fought and well-deserved victory. You earned it.

A Giant Victory

The giants i have to say got lucky. The packers did play on ugly game but they could have pulled it off if they would hve just focused on the play and pulled through. The giants missed a 35 yard fg and a 29 yarder but came back and got a 49 yarder. They just got lucky.

Well Snyder blew it, hired Fossil, appears now they will lose Williams and talk of bringing in Ryan from Baltimore as Def coordinator? Cannot belelive he went outside. I guess he beleives now that Gibbs is out he would put a puppet in so he can control. Hey Giants fans, let these guys know how good a coach Fossil is. You think when we had Turner the press conferences were bad, wait untill you hear this clown!

Nice job Mongo and I to am a Redskin fan as you well know from our teams message board;but I must also give props to the entire Giant outfit from Coaches, players, fans, etc cause what they have done is truly an unbelievable thing. Its so cliche` to say the`ve peaked at the right time although true, but to win 10 consecutive games on the road in the NFL and 3 of them being playoff games is truly remarkable. The Packer game was a classic and I almost didn`t want it to end as a fan because it was such a good game so good luck for one more game cause as a new season begins I`ll be back in burgundy and gold rooting for my guys to win in `08!   HTTR!

I agree. I went into that game wanting Green Bay and Farve to win, but by the end of it I found myself pulling for the Giants. Eli played his best game of his career and they deserved to win. I thought the better team won. I am a Texans fall so I have no ties to either team. I know one thing. Next year when we have home field all thru the playoff, when the temp. drops below 70 degrees we will close the roof and turn on the air condition.

I agree! Also Va local not a BIG Coughlin fan at all, they have been on a run since just before the playoffs! Do you think there better without Shockey? Appears to be. We will see just how goof they are in 2 weeks, the Pats are still rolling and did it this week without going deep, I think it will be a great game, and you have the Belichek ex Giant coach thing going on!
