Getting Ready for the Draft...

All of us Colts fans had a down then up season. The Colts started the season 3-4 looking like no one has seen in years then they go on a 9 game winning streak now everything is okay.... But first round lost in the playoffs ins't okay. Now there is plenty of time to discuss what happen and what this Colts team needs to do in the off season.

Getting Ready for the Draft...

If we didn bring back the Edge I would give him a shot. I would be mad at him but still support him.

Getting Ready for the Draft...

The toughest part about this season was that the Colts never "REALLY" looked impressive.  The lone clubbing they had was against the Ravens, which was impressive, but I believe Ed Reed was not in the lineup (I could be wrong). I don't really know what they really need to improve on, but I hope they figure it out.

Here is what I think needs to be addressed...

  • Bring back Edgerin James - I know it sounds weird, but he has already stated his dislike in Arizona, and now he is in the Super Bowl and running well.  Joseph Addai is not ready to be a full time running back in the NFL. The daily grind wears him down and he is not receptive of being hit hard at all. The running game needs to be effective for the passing game to really work, so if Edge is not the answer make Rhodes the marquee back next season not Addai.
  • Start Anthony Gonzalez - Marvin Harrison is one of the greatest receivers to ever play the game, but his time has come and gone. He has lost a step, his hands are not what they used to be, and his concentration is lacking. Anthony Gonzalez was an incredible WR this season. Sure he had some drops but for a second year WR he was terrific.
  • Get another pass rusher - Hey I heard that Julius Peppers wants out of Carolina....Yeah right who am I kidding. But in all seriousness the Colts need to get another strong pass rusher. Presure on the opposing QB this year was very week, course the run defense at the start of the year basically ment the passing game was non-existant for other teams.
  • Secondary, secondary, secondary - we need a lot of help with our coverage of the pass. The guys we have are decent, but not great. Too many big plays were given up this season, and cannot repeat next season.

Those are my thoughts..
