Say yes to plastic parts....

I am whole again.  It is amazing how much better I feel to be a woman in shape in addition to mind and soul.  I can't describe it.  I thought I might feel shallow for doing it.  Or strange for whatever reason.  So many thoughts go through your mind when the doctor tells you you have cancer.  You suffer through so much pain, mental and physical.  You want to pull back from your friends and hide.  I have lost weight, my hair, and my outward beauty.  But now I am healthy, cancer free, back to my playing weight, and I have had my final surgery (I hope).  I am happier than I have ever been in my life.  I have met my soul mate in this terrible process and we plan on marrying in the spring.

For all the kind words on this board I must again say thank you.  For the negatives words - I forgive you, for what its worth.

For those just dying to ask....  small C.  Looks right with my height and the restructure of my breast.

For those of you who may be going through something like I went through, or know someone, take comfort that it will pass and you can get better.  Much better.

AV,

First, it's great to see you posting again! You are a great contributor on the CBS boards and you've been missed.

Second, and more importantly, congratulations on beating your cancer. Both my parents did so, which means I've seen all the ups and downs you've described. It's a rough, rough road and that shows what kind of person you are to come through it. Your experience and willingness to share it also gives hope to many others who have or will receive a diagnosis in the future.

Best of luck to you and your fiancee. Live every day to its fullest!

I am whole again.Yeah! That is great news! I'm glad to hear things have turned around for you.

I have met my soul mate in this terrible process and we plan on marrying in the spring.Boooooo! There goes my golf date, I guess. Talk about leading a guy on!....haha
Good for you and congratulations. Who says things don't work out for the best?

small C.  Looks right with my height and the restructure of my breast.Your back and golf swing will thank you!

All I can say is I wish you all the happiness. Your story is an inspiration and glimmer of hope for anyone going through hard times of any kind.
We can't always understand why misfortune is brought upon us, but sometimes things happen for a reason, and here is proof that unexpected goodness can come from tragedy.
If you need any help writing your book, (which I doubt), let me know.

Say yes to plastic parts....

AV,

I'm so happy for you.  You took on cancer head on and wouldn't let it have you.  Now, you have good health again, renewed comfort in your femininity, and most of all congratuations on your engagement.  He is a lucky man to have you.

Thanks for returning to these boards that have at times been unpleasant to you to tell the community your perfect story.
