This more a check to see how accurate the infamous crystal ball has been.  It picked the demolishing of Ohio State by LSU in the BCS championship game (just wish it were a true NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME).

(eeewwww ... don't get me started ....)

So, here we go ... Geofridu's Pac 10 picks 2008.

Gazing into the void ... Pac 10 Picks

Well, here is what my week 5 went like. First my picks

Okay, wait a minute, letting the crystal ball warm up . . . . . . . .

there we are, here is what I see ...

  1. Stanford @ Washington    &
    nbsp;
    ;&nbs p;     close, but Stanford prevails
  2. California @ Washington State     WSU avenging their road trip at home
  3. Arizona State @ UCLA     &
    nbsp;
    ;&nbs p;
    basically a practice and scrimmage game
  4. Arizona @ USC     &n
    bsp;& nbsp;     another shootin clinic with d
  5. Stanford @ Washington State
    ; Cougs climb over the Tree
  6. California @ Washington    &
    nbsp;
    ;&nbs p;   Cal under pressure to take at least one
  7. Oregon State @ Oregon
    ;&nbs p;  flipped a coin - sorry roverfish
  8. Arizona @ UCLA     &
    nbsp;
    ;&nbs p;     &nb
    sp;&n bsp;    who shoots the buzzer beater??
  9. Arizona State @ USC
    ;&nbs p;     &nb
    sp;&n bsp;  USC likes to dance more than that other team

and that is what the crystal ball sees for this week.

... whoa - what is this???  7-2   oh crap ....

  1. Stanford by 14.  I guess it wasn't that close.
  2. Cal???  They won by 5.  I guess WSU will yet avenge their home losses and their road trip.
  3. UCLA by 33.  I think I called this one right.
  4. Arizona by 11.  Not sure I would call it a shooting clinic, but a good win by the Cats
  5. Stanford  by 2 and in OT.  Figures to be done in by a Tree to big for a Cougar.
  6. I figured Cal would win - they did by 4 .  Just never figured them to sweep.
  7. Oregon by 16.  In my heart I look for OSU to win, but with what has happened to them this season, ... maybe next time around.
  8. UCLA by 22.  I honestly wasn't referring to the shot clock. I got humbled real quick on the first full game I was able to watch of the Cats.  If UCLA hadn't played so well, I would demand that the Cats owe me (and every one else) 35 minutes of b-ball.
  9. USC by 14.  I just couldn't see the Trojans being swept.

... and as for the 7-2, well, of games #2, #5, and #8 ... #8 hurt the most.  The blindside came from #2 and Cal taking a cougar hide home as a trophy.

6 n 3 for the week.

29 of 45 overall

and ...

3 of  7 for the Cats.  I am thinking kinda hard on actually sellin' my crystal ball.  Anyone interested just in case???
