Why Jerryd Bayless & Chase Budingger should stay

I think Jerryd and chase should stay because if they did Arizona would be a contender of the national title.  This would be our regulars:

PG Brandon Jennings (5 star recrut #1 PG)

SG Jerryd Bayless

SG Chase Budinger

PF Jordan Hill

C Jeff Withey (4 star recrut #7 center)

Bench

G Nic Wise

F Emanual Negudo ( 4 star recrut)

F Jamelle Horne

G Brandon Lavender (3 star recrut)

F Zane Johnson

C Alex Jacobson (Redshirt Freshman 4 star)

The second team alone could be sub .500, by one or two wins team with an O.K. scheduale.  If we have this team next year, we could easily win 30 games.  Oh Withey and Hill are swichable at possitions

I know everyone would like to win a NC, but is that enough to convince them to stay?

What could these guys benefit from staying for another year? What could convince them to stay another year?

Hopefully college players will show some restraint like the Florida players did and stick around longer. Arizona's problem these days has been our recruits jump to the NBA way too soon. We need to stop being the farm system for the NBA and go back to developing players like Steve Kerr. Yes I am bitter. I remember when Arizona's great players stayed around 4 years.

The only problem I foresee is conflict between olson and oneil, if Lute comes back (sorry to say this, but I think he shouldn't). If Lute returns, you have a large problem as the two have totally different styles of play: run and gun, and set play half court offense. No NC with those issues. That would cause for some large off court issues to come about, and maybe even chemistry problems. I would love to see the B&B be with Jennings, but who knows?

Why Jerryd Bayless & Chase Budingger should stay

I think as soon as it was found out that Jennings had rescinded his verbal commit to USC and has now committed to U of A, the first thing people started to ponder was---> Bayless, Budinger, AND Jennings = WOW. But when really looking at it the canhces of this are a little if not zero. Bayless could have easily been a lottery pick coming out of highschool, and budinger could have been lottery after his freshman year. This year both have very high chances of being a lottery draft pick and i dont think the pull of the number one recruit coming in has the effect we want it to.

But if they did come back for their sophomore and junior years and they can win a national championship or a legit march run... i could then see all three come back for their sophomore (Jennings), Junior (Bayless), Senior (Budinger) years. So if they did stay next year and make a solid run i could see them choosing to do a florida-like return to try and win it all.

NOW THAT WOULD BE AWESOME HA

Why Jerryd Bayless & Chase Budingger should stay

Here's the bottom line...

I think people should worry about Jordan Hill going over the other 2, and here's why...

1) Budinger doesn't need to go for the money... he knows he still has some development to do, and isn't in a hurry to go to the NBA. Most guys go to the NBA now for the money. He doesn't need it, and wants to be the best player he can be and knows that another year in college would be perfect. He won't stay 4 years, but I think he has the best chance to stay.

2) Bayless is a stud, bottom line. He could very easily go to the NBA, but I think he may look at next season and see how good this team can be. He doesn't seem like a selfish player and is all about being the best player he can be.

3) Hill, if guaranteed a 1st round pick, will be gone. He has a kid, and needs the money. I've heard from people that he's saying if he's told he'll get a 1st round pick, he'll leave.

If these 3 stay, and you add Jennings, Arizona should be the front runner for the PAC 10 and a national title contender...
