CBS Says We Have to Lose Our Favorites!

Well once again cbs screws us, the users. Cbs has these lilttle or big fat guys/gals that do nothing but sit at their desk thinking of ways to screw the users. Each day they get up and think to themselves,  "How can I screw the users of cbs?" Well this time they have taken away our favorites! It never ceases to amaze me how sorry and low down these so called programmers are. Where they come up with these ideas is beyond me. Oh they say they limited our favorites to 50 so the servers would run faster! And more smooth! It is nothing more than a crock full of crap! Most of these idiots that sit on their big butts have most likely never done a lot of surfing in cbs. They are just like the idiots that design cars. Or the idiots that write these manuals to repair cars. They never worked on one car in their life! And the crap they write is nothing but stupid!

We all use the favorites for different reasons. Most use their favorites to keep up with friends they have made here. Maybe that is why the idiots want to reduce our favorites down to 50 for! Could it be these sorry fat lazy slobs that come up with these stupid ideas do not have many friends? And they are jealouse because the users on cbs has made lots of friends? Other people add people to favorites because they like to keep up with certain posters that always post great articles. I have added lots of users to mty favorites because I truely enjoying reading their post on different sports and such.

And now cbs is asking us to delete all our favorites but 50! Cbs is telling us to choose 50 favorites out of all we have. Cbs is telling us to choose between our friends. Choose between the people we love to follow and read their great post and our friends! cbs is not the fun place it used to be! It is starting to be run like Cuba! Under dictatorship! A lot of people has left cbs because of some of their crappy changes they have made. But this I can gurantee you, cbs could care less about loseing the regular users that has been them for a few years because they get new users on cbs every day!

Then cbs says we heard our users! We put the quick links back or something simple like that! They only put it back because they found out that what they took away really worked! They made a mistake and put it back! Cbs does not do things for their users. They do it for themselves!

Cbs, I want to be able to have any favorite I choose! I like being able to follow friends and great posters alike. Please cbs little fatman, please get a life, get yourself a girlfriend/boyfriend , husband or wife! Quit screwing the users!

  1. Anyone wanting to complain about cbs setting a 50 limit on your favorites list please go to
http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/messag
es/chrono/20279965?tag=pageRow;pageContainer

The bad part about the 50 limit favorites is that new users to cbs can not be added to any super stars etc. They are scewed. Because how many super stars are going to delete other super stars are who are their good friends to add a new users? So for the new users to cbs is being screwed royally by that little fat man/woman that says he/she is doing it to make cbs a better place! Please go to the feed back area or the link above and complain about the 50 limit favorites!

I urge everyone to keep complaining untill cbs comes to their sinses! That is the only way they will do anything!

CBS Says We Have to Lose Our Favorites!

Back in 2000 I had irc chat servers. We had a few thousand users.Irc back then was very popular. People had art shows going on almost constantly. The art was of things made up from all kinds of code and such. We never deleted any pages. People had their own rooms set up. We had bots, which is a script to keep the rooms open 24/7. lots of the rooms would have about a hundred users in them at once. We never ran out of room. We never had the servers slow down from running to much bandwidth. Like cbs, we had a series of servers tied into one. Therefore we had several ip addies. If one server went off line for maintens or such, we had several more running and carring the load with no lag time! I, myself had 5 servers running and there was several users that had any where from one to five servers running. No matter how masny people got on the, the servers ran fast. But! We had some great programmers that knew what they were doing!

CBS Says We Have to Lose Our Favorites!

I agree entirely with you. In fact, if there were one iota of truth to this excuse, there is a much easier way to solve their server problems.
I'm sure we have all been on flights that were overbooked and the check-in attendants asked people to voluntarily give up their seats in order to save room for others. Well, if CBS really needs that much space, give us a Leave the Site option! Right now it works like death. Once you are here, you can't go back. You can never leave. Just like being dead. Maybe that why they call it CBS. We're Cadavers Beset by Stupidity.
Seriously, CBS. If you have such a big problem that you can't run with our friends, just run without us. Let us leave at will. Otherwise, we know that all of this nonsense is just C omplete BS .

CBS Says We Have to Lose Our Favorites!

After a long hiatus, I'm back at Sportsline, and I just came across this posting about the favorites.  Don't believe the server excuse.  It IS more likely that someone with no comprehension of web said that as a way to shut people.  Do buy the idea that some nitwit has found it inconvenient to manage the site, and that person has convinced people that it's the server.  If that were the case, CNN would crash daily because it has just as much traffic, probably more, running through it.  I can't tell you what is the real problem, but I can tell you that they are full of manure.

CBS Says We Have to Lose Our Favorites!

It really is a shame that cbd has to stoop to this point. Now they are saying that the word came from up high. I still say it came from that lil fat man/woman that has no life what so ever! They have a back side as wide as three baseball bats from sitting for long hours trying to figure out ways of screwing the users of cbs!  I fully believe that if enough people complain about this, that they will remove the limit! Man I did not know cbs was that short on cash. I mean god they make lots of money on all those darn ads we have to put up with. But, I do have three servers of my own, I will be glad to give them one if they are that short of cash. Myself, I am going to start pestering them at least twice a week till they take off that stupid limit they imposed on us! Like Vespula said, I do not want to limit myself to only fifty friends!  Maybe those poor slobs have no friends and they are taking it out on us!

CBS WE WANT THE 50 LIMIT YOU IMPOSED ON US REMOVED! AND PUT THAT LIMIT WHERE THE SUN DOES NOT SHINE!

CBS Says We Have to Lose Our Favorites!

Really? I mean really, is the server excuse true? Maybe we can get a little money pool together so CBS can buy a $600.00 Dell to use as an extra server. I mean, we all know they are losing money because no one watches their TV programs anymore, and heaven knows, we need this place just to make life worthwhile every day! I want to keep my online friends connections because I try to live online like I live real life. I don't go around saying, "Gee, I wish I could be friends with him/her, but, golly! I can only have 50 friends or less in my life."
I do not buy this excuse they are offering. If they need more server space, they should buy more server space. If they can't afford to buy more or bigger servers, they need to close up shop. Every one of us can find less draconian places to post with real people with real lives who are in charge.

CBS Says We Have to Lose Our Favorites!

According to what I read on another post, it was done so as to make the servers run faster. In my opinion, thats is nothing but a big crock! What slows down cbs servers is all the darn ads they put all over the place! I understand the need for ads and such for revenue purposes. But the antimated ads cause a big slow down. It takes a lot of system resources for the ads. I build computers. I know what uses up the resources. Those favorites are sitting there in an area, not doing anything unless you access them to look at them. I hope lots of the users goes to the feed back section and complains about this issue! Or you can click the link at the top of the pages that says "You may have noticed some changes to CBSSports.com. To learn more and let us know what you think, click here."

I blame the little fat man that has nothing better to do than to think up stupid ideas saying it is for the better of cbs! In my opinion, he/she is nothing but a glory hound looking for the big shots of cbs to praise him/her for the crap he/she comes up with. Like a puppy dog just looking for a pat on the head.

CBS Says We Have to Lose Our Favorites!

Nice post Ron and i totally agree with everything you stated about CBS. I a not deleting the friends that i have made here over the past 3 plus years that i have been on these messgae boards. It's not fair to have to delete your friends to under 50 so you can add another one that you would like to follow and read their posts. Aren't there more serious issues that CBS couild be dealing with?

CBS Says We Have to Lose Our Favorites!

If enough people complain to cbs about the favorites they may put it back to the way it was like they did the quick links and a couple other things. I know I am not going to start deleteing my favorites.
