All-time Bears Team

Doug Plank deserves a spot on this team somewhere.  Jazzman, I can't believe I forgot Plank. I meant to put him as a reserve, but I just forgot. Consider him an extra reserve...

All-time Bears Team

Great job, not a lot to argue with.  But, I'd replace as follows:

Willie Gault would be replaced by Dick Gordon

Neal Anderson by Willie Gallimore

Mike Richardson belongs nowhere near this team.  Leslie Frazier was far superior but injury cut his career short.  Others for consideration over Richardson would be Nathan Vasher, Craig Clemons (played int the 70's), Virgil Livers, or Lemuel Stinson.  Richardson benefitted greatly from the Bears pressure.  Marino, Clayton, and Duper ate him alive in that loss in '85.  Even Ryan admitted that LA Mike was the weak link on his defense.

I'd replace Kevin Butler with George Blanda

Ditka as OC over Ron Turner (any version).

And, while I have no problem with your safeties, Doug Plank deserves a spot on this team somewhere.  After Butkus, he was the hardest hitter and most feared Bear I have seen play.

I'm sure others have different preferences.  But, as I said, great job.

GO BEARS
