Evander Holyfield lost and now it's time to go away.

Please don't fight again. I'm begging you. You're done, Evander.

D-O-N-E.

You were a great champion but it's over.

Relax, raise your 567 kids, become an analyst on HBO, just don't fight again or the next time we hear about you the news will be radically different.

That is all.

Way to totally avoid the point, dude

It's Valuev who is disgracing boxing by playing statue instead of throwing punches.

Well, maybe you are right about some of the shots that he hit Valuev with would have KO'd Vladimir....

But I dont think he would hit Vlad with shots like he did Valuev.    The jab would be way too much, and Holyfield would be dominated and likely knocked out around the 5th or 6th.

But with that said, Holyfield's camp was talking rematch after the fight, and it was reported than Valuev's people said a rematch was likely next year.  And I think it will def. happen for two reasons.  ONE--Evander can't get another title fight, and all he wants is title fights, and he thought he won the fight....so obviously this is his only option...and TWO--Valuev knows that he has NO shot against either of the K-Brothers, so he rather defend his belt (or try) against Holyfield again.

The two need to fight again in March or April, Holyfield can get the decision he deserves, take the title, and (hopefully) retire before one of the K brothers gets a hold of him and jabs him back into 1987

This clown obviously didn't watch the fight. Holyfield easily won 9 or 10 rounds and never got hit with a single solid shot. He made a guy that weighed 95lbs more than him look foolish. Valuev was 49-1 going into this fight and was NEVER in the fight. EVER! Not only did the judges blatantly rob Holyfield, one judge gave Valuev 8 rounds!!!! It was a horrible fight to watch but Holyfield did exactly what he needed to do. He boxed and made the giant miss almost every punch he threw. At 46 years old Holyfield still has better movement then almost every heavyweight in the division. Some of the shots that he hit Valuev with would have KO'd Vladimir. I'd like to see the man hang up his gloves but he proved that he's still a champion, belt or not. Freeman, you're a clown.

Evander: Retire. Now.

Why would he want to retire?  Not like the heavyweight division has any kind of depth in boxers to force him out.

And you don't obviously understand the fact that Holyfield still fighting shows the sorry, desperate nature of the sport.

Freeman: Retire. Now.

You obviously either didn't watch the fight or don't understand that the goal in boxing is to hit the opponent.  Holyfield actually landed punches, and handily defeated the Russian statue.

Mike, I saw the fight, and Holyfield looked better than he has in 10 years.

He won the fight, and as ESPN's Dan Rafael said, you could make a better point that Holyfield won every round...than you could that Val won 7/12 for the decision.

He will never beat one of the K-Brothers, and if he fights either of them he will be destroyed, but he should be the WBA Champion today.

Evander: Retire. Now.

I think him retiring would be a big mistake.  Boxing is obviosuly going out of style, and with Evander retiring how many names do non-boxing enthusiasts have left to know?  Evander is still one of the faces of boxing, and if you did see the results of the last fight, he does have some step left in him.  His results could be better, but him retiring would be detrimental to the sport.

I agree with Delmont. Didn't see the fight. But also read and heard, that the decision was a "travesty". That was the word used. So Mike, I'm beginningto wonder if you saw the fight or are you just responding to the outcome?
