Chiefs Will Win Super Bowl Within Five Years

That's how good Scott Pioli really is.

Bill Belichick is the man who makes the Patriots tick but don't underestimate how good Pioli himself was for New England.

He'll stock the Kansas City roster with great players and rebuild the entire fabric of the Kansas City organization for the better. And he'll do it quickly.

Pioli is one of the most valuable pieces of intellectual property in all of football.

OK, drooling time over.

See you in the Super Bowl in 2013, Chiefs fans.

Chiefs Will Win Super Bowl Within Five Years

I agree completely they really only got blown out of one game in thier last 10 ( Buffalo) and that was a defensive nightmare for them. The weak unit right now is the defensive line, no pressure on opposing QB and very poor at stopping run. Next they dont run the ball consistently anymore so I think the offensive line needs a guy or two. I am not sold on T.Thigpen but dont think he is the biggest problem right now.Perhaps address that next year. LJs value definately is not what it used to be but still might be able to trade for a 3rd rd pick while also shedding the salary (that could be tough though). TG probably at this point has more value although that hurts off more. Also need a complement to Bowe. The Chiefs are looking up but are closer than this years record would seem to indicate also the division does not have a true powerhouse team in it that I see. I am optimistic for 2010 and am looking for 5-8 wins in 2009 and more information on Thigpen

the question is, jtjmas, is did you watch the Chiefs this year?  Besides the Dolphin game?  They were competitive in each game that Thigpen started, the difference was Edwards had no knowledge of how to make changes during the game and 2nd half. That's what caused OT losses, 1-point losses, and 4th qtr losses.  All they need is new management and HC to fill the field gaps. This is a huge start. I am not saying they will win a Super Bowl in 5 years, but I wouldn't count them out based on their 2008 record. That would be ignorant.

I think the Chargers, Patriots, Steelers, Dolphins, Colts and Ravens might have a big say in the next five years.  Defense improvements will be key if Chiefs will even sniff the playoffs.

Chiefs Will Win Super Bowl Within Five Years

Just like the Jets with Eric Mangini will be a Super Bowl team.....wait he got fired......

Just like Romeo Crennell will take the Browns to the promised land and lead them to a Super Bowl.....wait he got fired too.....

Ok, just like Charlie Weiss will lead Notre Dame back to BCS supremecy.........wait he ALMOST got fired (only didn't becasue ND would have to pay him anyway) and only had good years with Ty Willingham's players...........

This just goes to show you that if you CHEAT you win......when you can't cheat anymore it is amazing how hard it is to win in the NFL.

I am wiling to give Pioli a chance, maybe he can do what Thomas Demitroff (Sp?) did in Atlanta, only time will tell.  But the AFC still has some pretty good teams the Cheifs will have to get past before being a SB team.  And they don't have a lot to go on right now.

Mike I hope your right.  This is the guy that I wanted.  First off it means the end of Herman Edwards.  If you need to have a clock management specialist on your coaching staff there is no way you should be in the NFL.  I wish Pioli could convince Cowher to come back to KC.  Whatever happens I can sleep better tonight knowing that King Carl and Herman won't be around any more.  Hopefully now we can start signing the right players and picking the right players in the draft.

lol what a stupid comment...You can't guarantee that in this league.  What about Mangini...Fired,  Romeo...fired and ironically replace with mangini lol, Charlie Weis?  yeah tons of success.  The Pats are run by Bill Belichick.  Pioli is good but he had Bill in his ear every second.  No decision was made without Bill's approval.  All cuts were done with Bill's approval.  Now he doesn't have Bill and Bill's special assistant who is in on every decision, doesn't have a title but is paid by the patriots.  He is a genious who wears headsets during games etc...They did a special on this person on ESPN and I am sorry I forgot his name.  Pioli has none of this now and must do it on his own.  Super Bowl in 5 years cmon...

I have been a critic of Mike freeman in the past, and im sure i will be in the future. That said, it's nice to see someone show some love for the Kansas City Chiefs......I just hope he's right this time!

This is too funny. I mean "intelligence" and "football" in the same sentence? Then... "intellectual property" and "football." I think I might bust a rib laughing this hard.
