Chiefs Will Win Super Bowl Within Five Years

That's how good Scott Pioli really is.

Bill Belichick is the man who makes the Patriots tick but don't underestimate how good Pioli himself was for New England.

He'll stock the Kansas City roster with great players and rebuild the entire fabric of the Kansas City organization for the better. And he'll do it quickly.

Pioli is one of the most valuable pieces of intellectual property in all of football.

OK, drooling time over.

See you in the Super Bowl in 2013, Chiefs fans.

Phillip Rivers? The Chiefs should have beaten him twice this year with a JV team- Sorry Bolts- you should have kept Marty cause your defense is heading to the bottom with KC's

Have you seen the chiefs this season? That is a stretch....Mr. Fantastic. Tyler Thigpen will never lead a team to a superbowl, and good luck developing a quarterback. Great, now that the qb is done, how about shedding some of larry johnson's years? And how about stop being so terrible????

Chiefs Will Win Super Bowl Within Five Years

You could write "The xxxxx will win Super Bowl within five years"  and it could be appropriate for any team.  You just never know.  And with this GM, I think it is one step in the right direction.  That is one step, with about 999 to go, but I like the move, and you just never know when you will catch lightning in a bottle (i.e. Tom Brady, Terry Bradshaw, Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Walter Payton, Lawrence Taylor).

I was not jazzed to hear it when KC hired Herm Edwards because I felt he had done nothing of distinction in NY, and I still feel that way.  I am jazzed to hear about this move.  Looking forward to a new season, regardless of who the coach is.  This team still needs quite a bit of help, and the light at the end of the tunnel may still be an oncoming train, but it also could be daylight.

GO CHIEFS.

And yes, I left out QB....

I mean, we have Brodie Qurolye  and Ingle Martin  as our backups...................

No need to draft or sign free agents in this position..........

Freeman -

When you wrote for the Jax Times for the past several years, you managed to make a fool of yourself, even in the South where we show politness for the impaired of mind........

It's apparent your new neighbors and working partners are scratching their respective heads by now.....

And I've been a Chiefs fan since growing up in the dusty forlorn state of Kansas......

Hmmmmm....

Let's see.  We need MLB, OLB, OT, OG, C. TE ( Tony's forgiven if he still wants to get out of Dodge.....), WR, DT, DE, CB, S, and a new waterboy staff.........

And we're gonna get all that in 5 years.........

Chiefs Will Win Super Bowl Within Five Years

I seriously doubt any of you that think this is preposterous really watch the Chiefs this year.  With a decent coach, the Chiefs are probably around .500 this year and in contention for the division where the Chargers won with an 8-8 record.  I invite you to take a look at the final scores of the game this year and note that KC lost by 7 points or less in 6 games.  Its not inconceivable to think that KC will be a good team with the acquisition of a few key players (and the subtraction of Edwards).  With a good draft and the right free agents in the offseason, the Chiefs will be in contention for the division next year.  Just look at Denver and San Diego. The Chiefs lost both games to San Diego by 1 point including blowing and 11 point lead late at Arrowhead, beat Denver at home, and blew a decent lead at Mile High.

Hey Freeman next time you are hitting the bong invite me over will ya? Or wait my bad its probably a crack pipe if you are saying this sincerely, and not just to get a bunch of posts through your method of 'make shocking statements to get the boards all fired up journalism'. Where do you come up with such ideas?

Freeman, you have less objectivity than any national sportswriter that I know of.  You mentioned Bill Belichick but forgot to mention the other main facet of the Patriots Super Bowl dynasty: Tom Brady.

Furthermore, you never do any baseball articles unless it's something negative or disparaging towards that game.  Seriously, we need fewer football/basketball writers and more baseball/hockey writers.
