Anquan Boldin is a Jackass

Posted on: January 18, 2009 9:04 pm

He tried to ruin the Super Bowl celebration with his childishness.

In the game, Boldin got into a heated argument with offensive coordinator Todd Haley. After the game, instead of celebrating with his team, Boldin abruptly left the field, then abruptly left the locker room.

It was awful behavior.

Quarterback Kurt Warner also got into an argument with Haley during the game but you didn't see Warner acting like a petulant child afterwards. He celebrated with his teammates and enjoyed the moment.

I have to say in nearly 20 years of doing this, I've never seen a player more concerned about his arguing with a coach over making a Super Bowl.

What Boldin did almost never happens.

Congratulations on making history, Anquan.

Anquan Boldin is a Jackass

I do not think anyone disagrees that Anquan BOOldin is not a great player and that he did not contribute to the teams efforts in making it to the superbowl.

It all boils down to unprofessionalism.. Now if someone tell me that yelling at a coach is professional behavior and NOT celebratining with the team is professional. The I am going postal *LOL*

I get sick and tired of people excusing bad behavior on the field because they are a good football player. There is no excuse for Boldin

behavior..Unless you are a baby *LOL*

COME ON  Cards fans !!!!! He was out of line !!! Would you treat your boss that way or a customer? He made himself look bad in front of the whole US!!!!

Anquan Boldin is a Jackass

What you fail to recognize, no matter how great a guy Boldin might normally be, is that what he did Sunday - not celebrating the franchise's biggest win ever with this fellow team members - was selfish.  Being a good person does not give you a free pass when you do something wrong.  It is still wrong, and Mike Freeman is simply calling him out on it.  End of story.

Playmaker21, before you call Mike Freeman an Uncle Tom, read the article again, idiot!  He pointed out that Warner complained a lot as well, but that IN THE END HE CELECRATED THE VICTORY WITH HIS TEAMMATES.  That is what the game is about - winning - isn't it?  And talking about "Q" getting ready for the game, etc., is completely irrelevant.  It's not that the Cards didn't play him at all.  They had him on the field and were a little cautious with him.  Apparently even that was too much for "Q", b/c he wanted Fitz's stats.  Not everything is about race, playmaker21 (nice selfish name, by the way).  Didn't Janaury 20th in DC, prove anything to you?  I guess you'll look for whatever you want and be blind to reality.  You're pretty sad.

Of course Boldin is upset Fitzgerald got a long contract and he didn't. If the roles were reversed we'd be hearing the same stuff from Fitzgerald. Boldin is a top received in the NFL and deserves to be heard as much as anyone else. Very hypocrytical to say it's okay for Warner and not Boldin just because Warner is an old man. Boldin works harder than anyone else on the team and doesn't take plays off. He slipped out of the celebration big deal. He didn't go T.O. and try to start something with the reporters. Unlucky for him they caught him leaving. The man wants to play, get off his back and let him.

Jealousy ... Boldin and Fitz are the best pair of WRs in the league, but the old saying:  "this town ain't big enough for both of us" really applies here.   Boldin just wants to compete with Larry, not the Eagles.   More concerned with being outshined by a younger WR instead of his part in winnning the game.

He'll be gone in the offseason, a great pick-up for Dallas once they dump TO.

Arizona shouldn't take too big a step back with Breaston and Urbane, with Fitzgerald.   Maybe a new WR draft choice in later rounds.

I AGREE 10,000% with you reecegaines3.  That comment you made (below) sums it all up.

reecegaines3 Comment:

"i dont have a favorite nfl team but fitzgerald is my favorite player in the league!!.  hes the best .  But part of feels really bad for anquan boldin;  This guy has had just as good if not better career so far than larry.  But the guy gets short changed so much;  First larry gets a huge contract this offseason; anquan gets nothing.  Now during the year their both having awsome games; catch by catch;  the compliment eachother so well.  But now larry is getting so much more attention from the team and ownership;  Boldin gets left out and the organization treats him like a scrub; and they treat fitz like royalty is not fair for anquan he has every right to be upset.  The cards wouldnt be in the super bowl w/o boldin for this year".
