Lakers: Kings of the Regular Season

Great win, Los Angeles.

Congratulations.

You win a lot of big regular season games, Los Angeles. But while you may fool some of the ex-player suck ups at ESPN, you're not fooling me again.

We've seen this movie before.

The Lakers and Ko-Me Bryant will impress in the regular season, maybe even get to the Finals. That's what they do.

Then the postseason will arrive and they'll get bullied and punk'd by one of the tough teams from the East.

Just like last year.

If the Lakers play Boston in the Finals, they'll get smoked.

Just like last year.

Los Angeles still doesn't possess the inside toughness to beat one of the great teams from the East when it really counts.

So congratulations, Los Angeles.

You've earned a title.

Best team in the regular season.

Lakers: King of the Regular Season, that's all..

All the lakers did was "get up" for 2 games, the best to teams in the East (NBA) and barley beat them at home.  (especially the Celtics, with a lot of help from the refs)

Now you have all these Laker fans thinking it means something........It's only a "statement" for the Lakers themselves.  They couldn't do it last year and had to play perfect to do it this year.  The Celtics and Cavs already know they can beat the Lakers at home or on the road cause they did it with the same guys from last years.  Good job Lakers and great wins but you still have to prove it in the playoffs and San Antonio isn't going to roll over this year.

The Lakers are lucky that the 3 best teams in the NBA have to play each other to reach the finals.

If you just wanted replies, why didn't you just say something intellegent? I just think it's funny that someone would make a fool of themselves with such an unprofesional report. You're an idiot man.

Lakers: Kings of the Regular Season

Where did CBS find this guy? The LAKERS are the best team in the NBA. They just whooped the Celtics and Cavs without Bynum.

Where is this tough Eastern conf. team you're talking about.this guy is not a writer, just a hater.

How do idiots like Freeman get paid for their stupid comments?  The Bynum-less and 1/2 Kobe-less (sick) Lakers took apart the so- called best defense in the NBA in their house and smoked the Cavaliers!  They also beat the Celtics without Bynum.  The Lakers or older and more mature this year and will definately win the championship.  Odom finally showed that he could take the Lakers on his back when called upon.  He was a one-man house wrecking crew!  Comment on something you know about Freeman because you certainly don't know about basketball and how teams are built!

Lakers: Kings of the Regular Season

How were the Lakers winning a lot of great games in the regular season last year when they lost to both Cleveland and the Celtics twice? This year the Lakers beat both teams at home and on the road. More impressive was the fact that they won back to back on the road against the "C" teams of the East without Bynum. Freeman. Are you trying to piss people off? Just admit this LAker team is stronger and not as soft as last year's. Maybe they will win the finals...maybe they won't. But if the Lakers made a statement of any sort...it was that there isn't going to be any 26 point blowouts against the Lakers in the final...nor will there be backing down from the Lakers anymore. They aren't "going to get smoked". I think your discredit of the Lakers shows a lack of respect and is an insult to the season they are having. I don't see a team in the NBA more determined to win a championship than the Lakers...especially Kobe. His game faces are getting more pissed, more intense. Gasol is looking drunker. Odom is looking more smooth. I think if anything, especially based on what San Antonio just did to the Celtics, it's the East that needs to step their game and intensity level up if they want to keep the championship in their conference. San Antonio looks like a team getting it's legs back under them. As a matter of fact, if the Lakers don't get Bynum back before the playoffs, I'm worried that the Lakers toughest opponent in the playoffs will be the Spurs, not an Eastern conference team.

Lakers: Kings of the Regular Season

Probably the worst "story" I've read on here.

If you look back at past NBA champinos, a sizeable portion of them have won big games in the regular season on route to strong regular season campaigns and continued it into the playoffs.

Freeman really lacks logic.

Lakers: Kings of the Regular Season

Personally, I hope you're wrong.  However, I do think that they have something to prove.  Hopefully, they'll post your comments all over the locker room as motivation.
