Great win, Los Angeles.

Congratulations.

You win a lot of big regular season games, Los Angeles. But while you may fool some of the ex-player suck ups at ESPN, you're not fooling me again.

We've seen this movie before.

The Lakers and Ko-Me Bryant will impress in the regular season, maybe even get to the Finals. That's what they do.

Then the postseason will arrive and they'll get bullied and punk'd by one of the tough teams from the East.

Just like last year.

If the Lakers play Boston in the Finals, they'll get smoked.

Just like last year.

Los Angeles still doesn't possess the inside toughness to beat one of the great teams from the East when it really counts.

So congratulations, Los Angeles.

You've earned a title.

Best team in the regular season.

Lakers: Kings of the Regular Season

he does throw in some substantial information....he says this happened last year and the lakers got bullied around in the finals.  I think it is a great piece of writing.  Lakers have yet to prove they have the toughness.  Give them credit for thier wins against boston and cleveland, but they really dont mean much until the playoffs.

I actually think he is right on.  Until the Lakers show they can do it in the finals against and east team in 7 GAMES then they are still soft.  Playing a FEW games really tough just doesn't cut it in the regular season and even more in the playoffs when it counts.

Too me it looks like LA is showing all their cards right now and the cavs, celtics, and spurs are just wait to make their move.  I mean, the lakers barely won these games anyway.  Great wins but doesn't mean or change much.  Even if they have home court.  Boston, Cleaveland, and spurs can win a away game no problem.  Also, the Lakers are worse at home than Celtics(well tied after that pourly called game at boston)  and Cavs so there you go.........I bet they lose to a pretty weak team soon just watch.

Lakers: Kings of the Regular Season

Freeman, maybe you should of waited a couples of hours after the game to write this mess, or until you became sober.  Lakers did a couple of things in this meeting. They are now 3 games up on the Celtics because of the tie breaker, and now up two games up on Cleveland because of the tie breaker.  I think today, if the regular season ended today Kobe would be M.V.P after beating Labron James twice and nailing jumpers straight in Labron's grill. Labron didn't do anything today.  People can't say that Gasol is soft anymore he has stepped up his physical part of the game now consistly jamming dunks where as last year they woud of been soft layups.  When Bynum comes back the Lakers are going to be hell. Boston center Perkins can't guard him one one one, meaning they will have to give Perkins help, meaning Gasol and Kobe will flourish.  Oh so you want to help on Gasol then Bynum and Kobe will flourish. It's a 3 headed monster wtih Kobe, Gasol, and Bynum are awesome.

Lakers: Kings of the Regular Season

His story is a story based on emotion.  Notice he doesn't throw in one stat or one specific basketbal related piece of information?  We'll see if he's right, but as a journalist I think he should at least try to "prove" his emotion to be true.  Just because you say it doesn't mean it's true.

Put your emotion aside and write a respectable story please.  You owe it to your employers and your readers.   Although I do think that Freeman and Doyle are often employed to simply write polarizing articles to fire up the fanbase and create action in these forums.  If that was the point of this article - great job freeman.  Otherwise it's garbage.

Lakers: Kings of the Regular Season

Once again Freeman shows his complete and utter lack of basketball knowledge (and writing ability).  The Lakers, without Bynum just beat the Celtics and Cavs on the road in consecutive games.  Neither of this big Eastern "bullies" could "punk" the Lakers so why would the Finals be different?

Once a hater always a hater ain't that right Freeman?

Trust me, both the Cavs and Celtics wanted to win the games this week.  They don't all of a sudden get tougher once the playoffs start.

It's hard to be a worse writer than Doyel, but somehow Freeman always manages to accomplish it!

Wow.... so exactly what was it the Lakers should hope to have accomplished with this road trip.... 6-0, no.... to impress Mike Freeman. Ahh that's what it was. Hmmm. Think we should be worried about A. Mike Freeman's comments or B. If we went 1-5 on this road trip. Nuff said. Who cares about this hack anyway.

First of all....I respect everyones opinion if its not done with obvious HATE in they blood.

You sound like the dumbest fool in the world. No one expected the Lakers to make the Finals last year..they did. Kobe won the MVP playing a team game because now he was a team around him...and he continues to do so this year. You act like the New Jersey Nets made it to the Finals and the Lakers lost to them! The Lakers lost to a team with 3 All-Stars and future Hall Of Famers. Yes they were out toughed but bottom line is they didnt lose to some bums. You dont know what they possess until that time comes. They are the best team in the regular season so far..we have a long way to go. Oh by the way...VanGundy, Brown, Rivers, Poppovich all have mentioned how important home court is so they are all doing they best to get it. So..yes it is important and yes we do want it. Its obvious youre a hater...and your f*cked up teeth a** has never suited up and acheived anything in sports to even have a valid sensible opinion! Crawl back into your hole dummy. You wasted all of our time!!

Great job Freeman! I usually agree with you on alot of things but on this one you're waaaaay off and I think you know it. I believe that you wrote that piece to get an angry response from Laker fans. If ANY other team went on the road and had a 6-0 trip with wins over the two tops teams in the East you would be down on your knees praising them as the best ever. You're saying they don't have inside toughness but they had enough today and IF Bynum comes back they will have more than enough. Oh by the way did Lebron have a few big game jitters today or was that just a bad game in the biggest game the Cavs have had this year? What you think?
