Good for the Cowboys

It seems Dallas is in the middle of a turd jettison movement.

They've supposedly tossed Terrell Owens overboard which follows their divorce from Pacman "Crimetime" Jones.

Thank goodness the Cowboys are finally understanding that you can't win with a team full of bad guys.

And Owens is a bad guy.

Dallas has enough talent on the field to win. It doesn't need Owens or Tank Johnson or Crimetime or the serial quarterback killer Owens to make the postseason. The Cowboys can get into the playoffs without those turds.

Finally, a team gets it.

Even if the Cowboys are a little late doing so.

Now, I fully expect Owens to end up as an Oakland Raider.

It's destiny.

Not gonna happen. Owens is too toxic even for the magic character cure of Foxborough. He makes Randy Moss look like a choirboy.

Good for the Cowboys

Hey,I agree like everyone else, that he's bad for the team. But here's the problem,he's our best weapon on offense. It's like a catch 22.Do we really want to count on Roy"I don't know how to run a pass pattern"Williams,Patrick"hands of stone"Crayton,or Miles"I can't stay healthy"Austin. And I know what all of you are gonna say,Witten is our best weapon, wrong because T.O. opened up the middle of the field for him,now he gets double coverage. If you guys want T.O. gone expect to struggle some on offense. You guys ever heard of the expression "Cutting off your nose, despite your face. That's what this is,and I know he's a distraction,he's a cancer, but he is our only one real deep threat, and our best weapon on offense,so there in lies the problem.I,like almost every Cowboys fan,is glad he's gone, but what does that leave? I'll tell you, alot of adjustment on offense,so Cowboys fans be patient, because we will struggle without him, don't kid yourselves.

Not so good for the Cowboys

Once you get past the persona that is Terrell Owens and look at the numbers he has produced, this move does not make sense from a football perspective.  The man produces on the field.  I don't know of a team that wouldn't be interesting in a 1000 yard, 10 TD receiver.  On the down side, he is 35 years old, but show me another professional athlete (except pro wrestling) that looks as good as him at 35 in any sport.  Another strike against him is his agent Drew "next question" Rosenhaus.

The old saying is "nice guys finish last".  How many teams and fans of teams would jump at the chance of picking up Bill Bellichick as coach.  Here is a guy that would cut his own mother if she didn't practice hurt or agree to cheat.  If I were a GM and needed a proven receiver, I would be on the phone immediately to see what kind of deal can be had.  The way to control Owens is to not let him talk to the press and make him tow the line on team rules.  Once in the fold, he will produce, like he always has.  Unfortunately, I think the Patriots will scoop him up and then we will have to suffer through another couple of years of "dynasty" talk and how Brady is the greatest thing since the face mask.

I completely agree with Freeman!  Wow!  And I love the use of the word turd.

I think Owens should go to the Lions so he can brag how he singlehandedly improved them from 0 to 2 wins.  But I don't wish that on the Lions.

Good for the Cowboys

I am amazed at HOW bad T O is... people compare him to Moss?  T O never walked off a field on his teammates! He ain't never run no body over and I don't see where he threw Romo under the bus?  I can't remember T O refusing to practice at any point in his career.  He's got alot of attitude, crosses ways with others and now he's some sort of 'black-eyed' criminal... soemone people won't let even try to get better.  Sprotscasters immediately focus cameras on him after a bad series and pop off about 'oh boy, he's about to blow... everyone waatch this!'   ....man what a society we live in, got to admit, for any of us, doesn't seem like a chance to change when everyone is focused on the NEXT moment - kinda pushing ya for it!

He complained (and if you ar a player who wouldn't as we've seen with many players and teams) about not getting the ball enough and that he felt to many times plays were being run to Witten and he was open (proven by video replays often).  Unfortunately where, this time in Dallas, he went to a coach to complain and gripe and it still hit the headlines... and let's all be honest - our beloved media can BLOW things up REAL QUICK!

No one can argue... the guy produced; the guy has personality issues!  I do think that the Cowboys will miss him... I just don't see this quite like the San Fran or Philly issues...

Amen!!!!!

That's 3 for 3 for "the player", as Parcells calls him.

When are teams going to realise that diva recieva's just aren't worth the headache?

Here's hopin' nobody else want's his tired act, either!

First of all, it is "you're" an idiot, not "your".  If you are going to insult someone's intelligence, check your grammar.  Secondly, Moss walked off the field before a game was over, quit on 2 teams, ran over a police woman, etc., etc....  Dillon openly criticized the Bengals, wouldn't practice and played when he wanted to.  Sound familiar?  It is funny what happens to you when the league's owners decide you're (see, proper usage) about out of chances.  It does wonders to your attitude.
