Each time Michigan State tries to cut into North Carolina's lead, the Tar Heels make a big shot or grab a timely rebound. They're literally toying with the Spartans And please, I don't want to hear Michigan State apologists say North Carolina would've beaten any team on this night because that's not what they were saying before the game.

Another question -- Is Freeman a payed employee of CBS?  Or is he some guy they pulled off the street?  This is a serious question.  I'm a newbie.

UMassFan. He's paid. And yes, that's a serious answer.

If you're arguing anything other than the Big East was the best conference this year, you're nuts.  The ACC and Big Ten were top heavy, the Big east had more talented teams capable of making noise in the tournament.  If we're talking about teams (which is why we have a tounrament in the first place), UNC is clearly the most talented team in the nation -- but that doesn't mean the ACC was the best conference.

You're right, but those were guys who rarely watched College Basketball, and were making MSU replace getting embarrased in football. The ACC and Big East may have had more teams in the top 10, but last time I checked they had just as many teams in the Sweet 16, Final 4, and they had a better record v the ACC in the NCAA Tournament.

Actually the Big East had 2 teams in the Final Four, so they had that over the ACC and Big 10, otherwise your post was right on. And if you want to talk about embarassing football watch the ACC or Big East (yikes).

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, you mean like Big 10 fans hanging on the "nads" of MSU. And how many teams outside of MSU in the Big 10 were ranked in the top 10 this year, and how many ACC and Big East teams were ranked in the top 10? Just checking.

I live in Big 10 country (Minnesota) so I get an up close and personal look at the Big 10, and it's good, but the ACC and Big East were better.

Thats about right.

Good job reading Badgers' entire post. He acknowledged that many Big Ten fans were saying "look at us" and pointing to MSU. But it isn't fair for fans of Virginia to come out and say, "one team doesn't make a conference", when North Carolina is the only true ACC power.

Badgers, you can only do that if you're an ACC or Big East supporter. The Big Ten plays boring, uninteresting basketball, therefore it's fans are denied the rights ACC and Big East fans enjoy, or for that matter Big XII, Pac-10 and SEC fans, even though most unbiased fans of any conference will tell you the Big Ten was top three easy.

Don't use logic, use preseason preconceptions.

A ton of Big East and ACC fans have been hanging on the nads of the UNC's, and UConn's of the world since their teams have been average to poor.

BTW, I can't help but laugh at the ACC and Big East fans. All season long they were talking about how much better there conferences were then everybody else. When the Big Ten started talking about how well MSU was playing, you guys freaked out, and talked about how the Big Ten fans are getting over their heads. LMAO! A ton of Big East and ACC fans have been hanging on the nads of the UNC's, and UConn's of the world since their teams have been average to poor.

I'll take those 2 wins and a loss to Morgan State over the boring, eventless season the Badgers had up here in the upper midwest.

Yeah it was a down season. We were still able to make it to the 2nd round, and it was nice beating an All Mighty ACC team in the 1st round.

ACC bias or not, Freeman's right. Leading up to this game all Michigan State fans (and the vast majority of Big 10 fans) were screaming was things like: "Michigan State didn't have Goran Suton" and "This is a different Michigan State team than in the one in November" and "UCONN and Louisville were bigger too" (well yes but Big East teams are much slower than ACC teams).

And BTW Maryland beat the National Champs AND the National Runners-up. I'll take those 2 wins and a loss to Morgan State over the boring, eventless season the Badgers had up here in the upper midwest.
