Limbaugh: good riddance

Hardcore race baiter and alleged pill popper Rush Limbaugh was kicked out by his own potential ownership group's bid to purchase the St. Louis Rams proving there is a (football) God.

Limbaugh was drop kicked by the head of the group, the respected Dave Checketts.

Rush has been Rushed.

This is a great day for those of us who see sports as a unifying force and not a dividing one.

Oh, go ahead, Limbaugh lickers, post your comments about how people have made up quotes or taken them out of context or call everyone a racist. Fire away, you brave anonymous message board flamers. That's what you do.

(This is said without malice and is my opinion: I believe almost any quote attributed to Limbaugh when it comes to race because he's said any number of ugly and hateful things. Just my opinion and belief.)

Limbaugh represents everything that's wrong with how people relate to one another today.

Now Limbaugh will manipulate the situation -- and manipulate his followers -- into believing that his lack of acceptance by the NFL is a conspiracy by the liberal media, feminists, blacks, ACORN, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, global warming believers, Oprah and Mexicans against him.

It's not about Limbaugh's politics, it's about Limbaugh himself. He's a bad person. That's it. End of story.

There are (and have been) current NFL owners who are horrible people but that doesn't mean the league has to let more in, especially more like Limbaugh.

Limbaugh's also a coward who sends his robotic fans to various media and message boards to do his dirty work for him.

You can't have it both ways, Rush-bo. You can't say numerous hateful things then try to back away from them or claim one or two things attributed to you aren't accurate. You don't get the benefit of the doubt on race.

So good riddance.

Hopefully the sports world will never hear from you again.

What happened to capitalism?

I'm not understanding this.

You say he was dropped (drop kicked) by his own ownership group. This is only because the group had no chance to win the bid win him in the group. You act like they saw the light and saw him as a bad person. I would think that is far from the truth.

I cannot stand Rush Limbaugh. But, just because we don't like someone, does that mean they do not have the right to purchase something when they pay good money? Is he a felon? Is he in some legal status that precludes him from ownership?

The NFL is wrought with deceit, from petty thugs to murders. There are bigots of numerous races already there. Dozens of crimes are committed by NFL players (and recently, coaches).

Just about everyone else in the NFL has the privilege to be there. I say privilege because they were chosen. They didn't have a right. But I think owners have a right because they are purchasing the team.

If you went to buy a house and someone said they are not selling it to you because they do not like you. You would hire an attorney. You would cry in the streets about what an injustice was done to you.

And they say money can buy anything. . . . . . . . . . . .

Limbaugh: good riddance

Freeman, what do you mean by attributed to Rush are you saying that you don't know the facts for sure? Freeman was you watching the program when Rush commented about the media hipe about McNabb and Tom Jackson(he's black if you don't know) and I believe Mike Irvin(he's black also) agreed with Rush. Tom Jackson is still on the set,its not because he might be black is it? Freeman why don't you just produce the facts or tell everybody where we can go and see for ourselves and not rely on hearsay. I have listen to Rush for 15yrs (have you) and have never heard him say anything bad about the black race. Yet one of the owners of the Miami team has made alot of racial comments in there songs or what ever you call it that they do.

Limbaugh: good riddance

Considering that Freeman is defending a League filled with murders, wife beaters, drug addicts, drunks. thieves and assorted other thugs I would think Limbaugh should be the one who is grateful that he is not involved.  A bit hypocritical of the Players Union and the race baiters to castigate Limbaugh while defending convicted criminals.

Lying bloggers and other 'reporters' not interested in the truth but only in promoting their own agenda are a far greater threat than Limbaugh, who at least knows he is an entertainer and doesn't pretend to be anything else.

I have no sympathy in many ways for Rush.  In the same light, using similar tactics Mr. Freemen also incites using accusations as well.  The Moss story still amazes me.

Yes despite this both have commited no crime.  The decisions being made about a person's rights to own property here in the US is based on people's disagreements with that  persons views.  Just imagine what this behavior suggests for our future.

Limbaugh: good riddance...WHERE TO START.....

this IDIOT chooses not only to offend the people who agree with rush's politics but also the very people that are responsible for this BIMBO getting paid by beating up on the posters of this site. throwing accusations around without one single quote or anything resembeling a source. i understand hes doing it to get a rise out of us as do all the fools that write for this site. maybe he is jealous of the fact that more people listen to limbaugh's show in a single day than there are people who read his trash in a 3 month period. he accuses limbaugh of hate all the while spewing it like a keg of beer that was rolled down a flight of steps in a frat house. i wonder how many articles he has written glorifying the "alleged pill popping bret favre". i understand that people dont like limbaugh and thats fine by me, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but really cbs......this tool is representing your brand and you let this garbage go through for the world to see exactly what limbaugh speaks of when he trashes the media.

Freeman, you are a disgrace and dishonest! Of course, commenters are going to challenge you on the quotes. They werent said, its your job to prove it, you made the accusation to make YOUR point! But you have no evidence to back it up. Your double standard is laughable! I would say that based on your comments you appear to be the racist! I believe your problem is jealousy that the man has enough money to be part of a group to buy an NFL team! You'll likely continue to wallow in your measly existence as a faux journalist, grabbing an occasional crumb through opportunism to play on race. Good luck to you, you'll need it!

You make some good, well thought out points about Limbaugh and his political beliefes, but what does that have to do with a man wanting to own a stake in an NFL team?  You're missing the entire point.

Limbaugh: good riddance

I'm so sick of liberals calling Rush a race-baiter.  What do you call Sharpton and Jackson?  Would you have a problem with them owning a team?  What they have said is just as inflamitory if not more. And who gives you the right to say he doesn't belong in any role in sports.  What about free speech?  If players don't want to play for a team he owns, or if fans don't want to go to the games they have that right.  But he has every right to own a team.  Maybe I don't think Sharpton has a right to comment on sports franchises since he has no sports authority and he has made racially inflamitory statements.

Freeman,

Thanks for proving yourself to be the ni**er everyone already knew you were.  I don't use that term to refer to black people.  I use it to refer to worthless pieces of crap who happen to be black.  But, you're doing your brothers, Jesse "Baby Daddy" Jackson and Al "Never Had A Real Job" Sharpton, proud.

Go to hell, Mike!  You worthless piece of crap.
