Limbaugh: good riddance

Hardcore race baiter and alleged pill popper Rush Limbaugh was kicked out by his own potential ownership group's bid to purchase the St. Louis Rams proving there is a (football) God.

Limbaugh was drop kicked by the head of the group, the respected Dave Checketts.

Rush has been Rushed.

This is a great day for those of us who see sports as a unifying force and not a dividing one.

Oh, go ahead, Limbaugh lickers, post your comments about how people have made up quotes or taken them out of context or call everyone a racist. Fire away, you brave anonymous message board flamers. That's what you do.

(This is said without malice and is my opinion: I believe almost any quote attributed to Limbaugh when it comes to race because he's said any number of ugly and hateful things. Just my opinion and belief.)

Limbaugh represents everything that's wrong with how people relate to one another today.

Now Limbaugh will manipulate the situation -- and manipulate his followers -- into believing that his lack of acceptance by the NFL is a conspiracy by the liberal media, feminists, blacks, ACORN, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, global warming believers, Oprah and Mexicans against him.

It's not about Limbaugh's politics, it's about Limbaugh himself. He's a bad person. That's it. End of story.

There are (and have been) current NFL owners who are horrible people but that doesn't mean the league has to let more in, especially more like Limbaugh.

Limbaugh's also a coward who sends his robotic fans to various media and message boards to do his dirty work for him.

You can't have it both ways, Rush-bo. You can't say numerous hateful things then try to back away from them or claim one or two things attributed to you aren't accurate. You don't get the benefit of the doubt on race.

So good riddance.

Hopefully the sports world will never hear from you again.

Limbaugh: good riddance

Oh the irony...

We shall see if there is a media bias to be confirmed on CBS. Newsday reporter Bob Glauber has reported that ulta liberal George Soros may have joined Checketts bid to purchase the Rams. Soros for those of you who are not familiar is a billionaire financier who has funded several ultra left leaning political causes such as moveon.org.

Soros has been indicted in the United Kingdom for currency manipulation. During World War II Soros worked for the Jewish Council. The councils responcibility was to assist the Nazis in there Jewish policies, however in fairness to Soro's he was only 13 and the alternatives were not attractive, however by the rules of people like Freeman this is fair game to toss out into the forum.

Soros is considered by many on the right to be one of the most dangerous men in politics and has made several devisive statements.

IF this report is indeed acurate it would be very interesting to see how Freeman and other media outlets choose to report this story. Lets see if Freeman is brave enough and have the integrity to bring some of this to light though I doubt very much that he will report this story.

I salute Bob Glauber for having the class and integrity that Freeman clearly lacks. And yes Freeman I am questioning your integrity though I am stopping short of calling you a racist based on your article on the Duke Lacrosse players a few years back which I thought was very well done.

Limbaugh: good riddance

How do you know that Rush Limbaugh is a bad person? Have you met him? Has he ever injured anyone?

Sometimes you should let your brain stop your fingers from typing.

I among many here on CBSSports.com have been waiting for the day to see a headline that says "Freeman: Good Riddance". I also cannot wait for the sports world never to hear from you again. You lost your fastball a long, long time ago and it is probably time for you to go pro in something other than sports journalism.

Freeman Sucks but Good Riddance: Rustyangel

I am writing an email to CBS Sportsline today and cancelling my membership.  I will never visit this website again.  I will never be commissioner of another league hosted by this site nor will I even play in a league hosted by this site.  I am a team owner of a league hosted on here and I will let all of them know immeidately that I am done for the season. Okay you had your say...

But be careful McFoy, Freeman will make up some quotes about you and write abouot them like they are fact.  Checking his facts is irrelevant because he's Mike Freeman...sport journalist extradonnaire. You aren't gone yet??

Using Mike Freeman and journalist in the same sentence is an oxymoron...or maybe just moron.

Freeman: good riddance

I am absolutely astounded that CBS Sportsline allowed you to post such a politically motivated rant.  It's one thing to have your opinion to yourself Freeman, but it's something altogether different for CBS Sportsline to allow such political bias to be posted on their site.

It IS about Limbaugh's politics.  The guy is too brilliant for you to argue against and so the only way you can railroad him and silence him is to lable him as a racist.  You are the racist one Freeman.  You probably advocate having a convicted Felon (Vick) in the NFL along with drunk drivers that kill people (Stallworth), wife beaters, drug users and other scum of the earth in the league.  But let a conservative stand up and all the sudden you've got to rally behind the hate mongering and race baiting of your hero Al Sharpton.

I am done with CBS Sportsline because they allowed you to spew your hate on here.  By allowing you to post this article, they have, in essence, endorsed your political agenda.  If you want to have this opinion and share it on some political website that is one thing, but to post this hate on a SPORTS website is absolutely ludicrous.

Good riddance to you Freeman...YOU are the racist one.

"I believe almost any quote attributed to Limbaugh when it comes to race because he's said any number of ugly and hateful things."

--M. Freeman

Excellent journalism approach, Mike.  Very professional.  And you probably wonder why nobody takes sportswriters seriously.

You, my friend, are the race baiter--and an unthinking one at that.  You might read Gregg Doyle's piece to get an idea of how a thoughtful person thinks on the subject, rather than an unserious one.

Limbaugh: good riddance

From The Weekly Standard: Limbaugh and Double Standards, Cont. One day after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell noted the NFL's "high standards" and expressed concern about "divisive" language hurting the league, Rush Limbaugh was dropped from a group of investors looking to buy the St. Louis Rams. Goodell's comments followed similar remarks from DeMaurice Smith, new head of the NFL players association and a lawyer who worked on the Obama transition. Now that Goodell has asserted himself as the arbiter of acceptable political speech for the NFL, perhaps he'll take another look at Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson, singer for the Black Eyed Peas. As we noted yesterday, one of the group's most popular songs is "Let's Get Retarded." And one reader points out, in the lyrics to the song "Where's the Love," the U.S. government includes "terrorists" just like the ones we're trying to stop overseas, and the CIA is like a street gang: Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism But we still got terrorists here livin' In the USA, the big CIA The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK The NFL voted to allow Fergie to become part owner of the Miami Dolphins earlier this week. So it's not really "divisive" speech that troubles the NFL, apparently, but a certain kind of "divisive" speech. As noted, there is a standard at work here, but it's not a high one.

Limbaugh: good riddance

This is a great article and it speaks volumes.   We are entitled to free speech, and Limbaugh has the same right.  His manipulations of todays media is the reason that his so-called partners dropped him, like he allegedly stopped popping pills.   I am sure you know the rules this is the land of oppurtunity and he blew is oppurtunity with his racial comments that should of been said to the people he could trust.  David Duke ran for the Presidency and lost because of the same mentality.   Wise up right wingers and learn the rules of this society, if not suffer like Limp-Bo.

Limbaugh: good riddance

Were the words "...sports as a unifying force and not a dividing one" and "Limbaugh lickers" actually written by the same person?  Really??  Let's discuss the term "hypocrisy"...
