More Tiger bombshells coming?

That's the only reason Tiger Woods is leaving golf indefinitely. The only reason. There's more stuff that's going to hit the fan.

Woods wouldn't go out like this; soft and small, over just cheating. He's too strong and arrogant. Too tough. His temporary departure means something else is up.

Forgive me for being cynical but there are either many more alleged babes and alleged porn stars about to declare they, too, slept with Woods or something worse has happened like the wife is leaving his ass.

This isn't how Woods rolls. He doesn't quit like this unless there's another shoe (9-iron) about to drop.

The bottom line is this is the end of the Woods as we've known him. He'll be back to golf but he'll be back a smaller and much more damaged man, right or wrong.

He went from an eternal to a punchline in a matter of days.

Now he's given up golf for who knows how long?

He'll be back after an Oprah appearance.

But first that other (golf) shoe has to fall.

It's coming any day now.

More Tiger bombshells coming?

I'm afraid that the PGA TOUR needs to keep Tiger in the public eye for a return to tour more than he needs them.  They will make every effort to lie, cheat, and steal to hide further damaging information about him, whether it involves more moral transgressions, use of PED's, sex with small farm animals, etc.   Forget about his "family man" image, that is gone.  He cares no more about his wife or children than he did throughout his sham of a marriage.  His wife is smart to leave him and move on, because his lifestyle will not change just because he got caught.  I think his idea of "conquest" is more than about the game of golf.  He will return to the tour to test the waters, because that is all he knows and is good at.  His lawyers and PR people will try to mend fences so he has a reasonable chance to continue his career.  In 3 months time, some new drama and attention getting headlines will make this whole deal seem not so important anymore.  For all the non-tiger fans, this is a great time in history.  Phil and some of the young guns on tour will have a very Merry Christmas, because he is off the tour for now.  But don't kid yourselves, he will be back, and with a vengence.  Golf and women are his drugs of choice, and like most addicts, he will pursue his fixes.   They are more important to him than to try and worry about is his marriage or damaged public image.   He is driven to become the undisputable best golfer in history and nothing will detour him from that goal.  In the end, it will be a shallow victory, much like Barry Bonds quest to be the home-run king.  In the end, he will have to live with his legacy, and hope that historians will honor his accomplishments.  On the other hand, he is already so rich, he could walk away from golf and find some new enterprise to pursue, which would really be the smartest choice.  He could just sit back, enjoy his life doing whatever he wanted to divert new energy into, and no doubt be successful and content.  I'm curious to see how this plays out, but I got a feeling we'll be seeing him at the Master's next year....

More Tiger bombshells coming?

Tiger went from immortal to being a joke. I don't see how he can concentrate, and focus well enough to play golf anymore.
He is learning something new though -- humility.

Two things a person with character can't carry for very long, a guilty conscience and a bag of lies. It would have been nice if none of this happened, but it did, and Tiger is going to have to eat a lot of humble pie, I feel he has the character to make it right. I wish him and his family all the best.

More Tiger bombshells coming?

I do think Tiger's leave is an IMG plan.  It is an attempt to ressurect his image as a family man.  A guy willing to put his dreams and aspirations on hold in order to save his marriage...BTW, I would be willing to bet that Hootie and the BLowfish at Augusta National are hoping that Tiger doesn't end his hiatus by palying in the Masters...That would only take away from the tournament.

It is also a good pr move to skip the Masters...PR spin, "Look how important his family is to him....He is willing to forego his quest for Jack's record until he gets his family life in order.  What a great guy"

I would like to see the New Zealand interview shot before the sh#T hit the fan  where he talks about the importance of his family and how his father taught him  family comes first and golf comes second.

I do wonder why he is taking Vicodin nearly 18 months after his knee reconstruction?  I had heart surgery and was off pain medication after about 17 days...I have had also had knee surgery.    In neither case was I on pain medication for 18 months.

Freeman, you are just a hater.  Just because you're black, you think you can write anything you want about Tiger, even if you have no basis for making such statements.  I am extremely disappointed in Tiger but I'm not going to speculate on things that I have no idea about.
And saying a writer with an opinion thinks that he can write whatever he wants just because he's black is not speculating on things you have no idea about?

Pot. Meet Kettle. Black. (No pun intended)

Sounds racist what you are saying, get back at the media? What did they do? Help him earn his billions by billing him as the greatest golfer of all time? Help him get endorsements that paid for these escorts by being covered in every local T.V. station, ESPN, Nike, various commercials.  It is some of the very people that you want him to get back at, like your mad at the "Man" when the "Man" made him millions and millions that he used to not once or just with one person, repeatedly over years break his vows to his wife.  Nobody forced him into marriage, he said those vows and in America now that's the problem with people like you, I know where your coming from, you just can't quite say it, but cheating on a wife is a horrible thing, that when it's so easily accepted by society like you, erodes the bond of marriage, being American, being a man, and doing what is right. We all make mistakes, but this was no one night stand,  and for you to be happy the "Whites" will lose money by him not going to cities and tours, then maybe we need to find role models that our children can read about and not read biggots like you who would rather see cities lose money because Tiger won't be there than to emphasize the importance of a wholy union between a man and woman being the institution of marriage.  I know what you want,  all the people to pay now because the've made money off having Tiger, and I assume it's based at the white man for using him to make money, well it is the white man who put the money in his pocket in the first place, and for you to want this vengance, look at the big picture what this tells our children and you just blow off the fact that marriage is supposed to be for life, not divorce which you are so easily setting a precedent that getting back at the"Man" is more important than honesty, truth, marriage, vows, love, all values America needs so desperately now and you are setting the typical bad example enabling people to think it's Ok, very ignorant, and you are the verman that corrode our society.

Tiger publicity and other shoes

I'm inclined to agree with Mr. Freeman.  There is no reason to believe the news will not continue to keep on giving.  I imagine his agent and his proxies are running around all over the country handing out $1M bills like they are candy.  I can not imagine what it is like in his house right now.  Elin's shame must be intense.  We may never see her in public again, and the odds are good she will return to her own country to escape this awful mess.

But there's a few things I don't understand about the coverage and people's reaction.  If the local amateur champion got into trouble for sleeping around, I can imagine telling everyone to butt out and leave it alone.  But this situation is not that at all.  Tiger Woods made $1B from being a celebrity.  That's a lot of money people have given him.  Every rockstar, politician, athlete, actor, and celebrity who makes their money from being in the spotlight, owes their luscious lifestyle to the public.  He has no right to any privacy other than the little he can preserve.

That said, I'm also surprised to learn he was so silly and stupid regarding his infidelity.  I have to adjust my thinking on what it's like to be so rich, and yet have so many stupid people near you.  I don't know how that can be possible.  If you're going to cat around like a retarded bull, the least you might do is be careful of who you do it with.  You don't screw the local barmaid.  And it's not like there aren't a lot of alternatives that wouldn't come back to haunt you.  He was actually technically 'dating' one of them.  Good lord.  Even businessmen who make $200k a year know how to stay out of trouble likke that.  Surely when you get rich, you ask a friend or mentor to look out for you, don't you?  Or is he so arrogant he doesn't listen to anyone anymore?  It doesn't make sense.

Tiger has a lot of pride.  But his first long walk back into the public eye will be the longest one he ever makes.  I don't see him playing with confidence for a long time to come.
