Steelers wait...

Posted on: January 3, 2010 4:19 pm

MIAMI -- The Steelers did their part in beating a battered, undermanned Dolphins team that lost its first two quarterbacks to injuries, so for now, Pittsburgh spends the next few hours just waiting.

This was a brutal and physically punishing game, won by the Steelers, 30-24, at Landshark Stadium where there were more Steelers fans than Dolphins fans.

For the next few hours the Steelers are still alive in the playoff picture as remote as their chances are.

If Jets and Ravens both win they are in and Steelers are done. Pittsburgh needs the Jets, Ravens and Broncos to all lose to get in.

CBSSports.com will update the Steelers' status later on Sunday night.

There was one moment in the game that was frightening for both teams. Quarterback Pat White was injured on a helmet to helmet tackle by Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor. White looked to be knocked unconscious and was motionless for several minutes before being taken off the field on a cart. The Dolphins announced he suffered a head injury but said nothing further.

Steelers wait...

I speak spanish and english, as all of us Steeler fans are very dumb.  :)  I was wondering since you are so smart, do you speak two languages? I wasn't raised in a latino house, I just learned it by studying it and volunteering it.  You are smart I assume, which languages do you speak? Please write something for me, as your smelly buns, wipe tears and steroids allegations which have been debunked, show you smart you really are.

¿Quizás podamas hablar español juntos?

Yo habla español y inglés tambien.  ¿Hablás otra lengua tambien?  Creo que sea muy estupido, mae.  Callate. ¿Cuando aprendas otra lengua, nos hablamos mas no?

Steelers wait...

It is hilarious to see these Steelers fan constantly bringing up their super bowl rings. For starters 4 of those were won in the 1970s when you were the only team in the NFL taking steroids so just a slight advantage there. Secondly had it not been for the Miami Dolphins losing Larry Csonka Paul Warfield and Jim Kiick to the WFL you wouldnt have won more than one or two. The Dolphins were the most dominant team of the era but after winning 2 super bowls and going to 3 straight they lost to the raiders on a B.S. last second miracle heave into the endzone...aka the sea of hands play, thus ending the Dolphins dynasty bc the WFL lured their 3 top offensive players away from the team while still in their prime. Then and only then did the Steelers win anything, in essence they had to wait like pathetic scavangers to eat the scraps from the Dolphins conquest. Thats all complete fact so rejoice in knowing you had to wait til the 800 lb gorilla was taken out of the jungle to sit on the throne bc you could never beat them. O wait and lets not forget you got so tired of getting your butts beat you were the first team to start juicing to try and get better. The two titles w Big Ben have been legit even though both times you went up against probably the 2 worst NFC superbowl squads to play in the big game during the last 27 years. Infact of your 6 Super Bowl wins only the one vs the 70's Cowboys came against a real opponent and even they were at the end of their dominance unlike the Steelers that were at their zenith. I mean the Rams, Seahawks, Cardinals, yeah all those franchises scream excellence..lmao. Thats who you guys beat for super bowls...not the 80's 49ers or the 90's Cowboys just one hit wonders that barely made it to the title game. So in closing if you read through this thread you'll  notice two things, 1. most Steeler fans are morons and many of them cant spell. 2. They always turn to their vultured super bowl rings to defend themselves, now you know the reason you even have that many is BECAUSE YOU LITERALLY HAD TO WAIT TIL THE 1970S DOLPHINS WERE DISMANTLED TO EVEN HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN ONE. And all those rings the Dolphins tossed to you still dont make up for losing to Oakland,Cleveland,Kansas City and Cinci twice this year. So have fun watching the playoffs from the sideline were you belong, real nice way to defend your title there bubs. And whats worse you had one of the easiest schedules in the NFL after the tought start which you came out of with a winning mark but you played like sh*t and lost. So in closing Cry Me a River Steeler fans now you can use your terrible towels for something useful to wipe away your tears and not just your smelly bums...Focker Out

Steelers wait...

Looks like there is a conspiracy against the Steelers. The Patriots benched their star QB Brett Hoyer and played Tom Brady the whole game just to roll over on the Texans so the Steelers wouldn't make the playoffs. Steelers players are more dillusional than their fans who think the reason why they suck is because they don't have Polomalu lol.

Steelers wait...

Steelers dug their own grave.  How do you lose to Oakland, Cleveland, and Kansas City in a four week period?  Is this team getting better or worse?  They did wrap up the season with three wins, but did so in unspectacular fashion.  Offensive line looks like it is getting worse and Mendenhall is not a very good back which puts a ton of pressure on Roethlisberger.  Hard to see the Steelers as Superbowl Contenders in the next year or two unless those issues are addressed.  Oh well, would like to have seen them make it in since I think they would make a more interesting game then the Jets, Ravens, or Broncos will.
