The Alchemist is right again

He's not a good guy.

He's kind of a rat fink.

He's not someone you can embrace.

But, once again, Jose Canseco, the original high profile baseball Alchemist, is dead on right.

Remember, it was Canseco who first wrote in his book "Juiced" that he injected Mark McGwire with steroids in a bathroom stall. McGwire denied the claim then and now.

Canseco looks truthful and not just about McGwire. Almost every slugger Canseco has accused of using performance enhancing drugs has been linked to them.

Canseco is the biggest and arguably the sole reason why we know who's used and who hasn't. He got the steroid ball rolling.

Is Canseco a good guy? No, he's a rat, and no one likes rats.

But he's been right on almost everything and everything when it comes to baseball and steroids.

The Alchemist strikes again.

Canseco

As much as I hate to say it, Jose does deserve credit for being the first to say "Yeah, I juiced".  Not to mention the others he threw under the bus have almost all been found guilty in the court of baseball fans.

One day, probably long from now, people will look back and the whole era will be conclusively tainted.  Because of that Jose Canseco will be one of the first to get better treatment from history.  You cannot deny he told "the truth" (heck, I know its a book pitch).  Most of what people laughed at has for the most part been proven.

Sad.  How I long for those beer drinking, smoking in the dugout, skinny arms days of the early 1980's.

REMEMBER WHAT THEY DID TO THE LAST MAN WHO DID NOT MAKE A MISTAKE. THEY HUNG HIM ON A CROSSI'm sorry: but not only is this completely irrelevant...

The Alchemist is right again

I AGREE. EVERYBODY AND THEIR BROTHER BASHES CANSECO, BUT HE IS THE ONLY GUY THAT TOLD THE TRUTH. IF YOU LISTEN TO PETTITTE OR BONDS YOU WOULD THINK THAT THEY DID ONCE OR TWICE. GET THE HECK OUT OF HERE. CLEMENS ANOTHER LIAR. CANSECO MAYBE BE A RAT BUT I WOULD RATHER DEAL WITH AN HONEST RAT THAN A DISHONEST CHEAT. REMEMBER WHAT THEY DID TO THE LAST MAN WHO DID NOT MAKE A MISTAKE. THEY HUNG HIM ON A CROSS. BE HONEST AND PEOPLE WILL FORGIVE. LIE AND THEY WILL BLAST YOU UNTIL YOU TELL THE TRUTH.

The Alchemist is right again

Yes  I dont think many people, really doubted Canseco..... they just didnt want to hear it!!!
Anybody could see   Bonds  McGwire, Sosa  etc....  all gained about 30-40- 50 pounds of muscle in about 2 years
One day  Sosa  and Bonds were   6 feet 190  pounds     2 years later they were  6 feet  and 230
yes they were home  run hitters  but  those guys that hit 25 homers were  now hitting  50 or more....
Brady Anderson hitting 50 homers...
Ken Caminati once said 75% of the guys were juicing  and I believe that number....  EVERYONE DID IT!!!
it wasnt  against the "rules" ...  and it was baseballs dirty little secret...
Canseco told the truth.. yes  he was sort of a rat  to name names...  but I am sure  every name he told  it was true!!!
