CBSSports.com has obtained a police report in which a former girlfriend accuses St. Louis running back Steven Jackson of assaulting her while she was nine months pregnant.
Jackson's girlfriend at the time, Supriya Harris, said in a complaint filed with the Las Vegas Police Department that an argument in March of 2009 became physical and according to the complaint Jackson pushed her to the ground repeatedly.
According to the report, Harris says she was bleeding from wounds as a result of the argument. The report states that Harris gave birth to her son soon after the alleged incident.
She also says in the report that she left Jackson after he again threatened to physically beat her.
Jackson said in a statement through his agent: "It’s disheartening that I have to address any alleged allegations 10
months later, but I have read the accusations made by Supriya Harris, and they are untrue. The accusations are especially hurtful because those who truly know me know that those actions would be out of character for me. Miss Harris is the mother of my son, a son that I love and that I willingly support emotionally and financially. I will address this matter thoroughly through the appropriate avenues, but not through the media."
Harris told CBSSports.com that the runner isn't being truthful and she's willing to take a lie detector test to prove that her story is accurate.
"I'm ready to take a lie detector test and the witnesses are too," she said. "I'm not lying and I challenge him to take the test. I'm ready to take it."
The Rams say they are aware of the abuse claims and are investigating.

Everyone knows that this will just be swept under the carpet! Seriously look at Michael Vick did and he is still one that a lot of people still worship. The criminal acts that a lot of people do usually go away, it seems they get away with a lot more than they should. Not to say I do not care about these kinds of acts because, I do. I just know that why harp on something you cannot change. They know they were wrong and so do we. All goes down to show that these people we like really are is animals. |

They are no longer together and she is battling over custody and how much child support she will get. It may or may not be true but she is throwing everything at him to damage his character. If it is true or not is for the justice system to decide. In other situations similar to this, females will threaten to bring up steroids or abuse to get what they want in support and keep them quiet, whether true or not. Some cases it is truth and they deserve to be outed and charged. Other times it is just the greed of an individual that wrongfully damages someone else's character.

This is a valid point. However, I can see one reason why it is more fair to draw one conclusion and not to draw the other. Steven Jackson is innocent until proven guilty. The woman is not charged with any crime, so her innocence or guilt is not in question. Just my two. |

It seems very unlikely that she can prove this took place last year unless she has witnesses, otherwise it's her word against his. Sounds like another money chasing Beoootch to me. However, if this is true and Steven Jackson is a women beater then shame on him!!!! It amazes me how some of these athletes and entertainers for that matter would choose to assault a women when they know the consequences for their actions will be harsh. It goes to show you how poorly they were guided as young men. My father would have broken whatever hand I layed on any female had I ever even thought of showing aggression toward and I would now do the same if my son chose to handle his frustrations as such. |
