For telling the truth. Please, don't stop. Keep telling the truth. Even when the homophobes and extremists try to shout you down, and they will, keep telling the truth. Even when some African-Americans, bathing in hypocrisy, try to stop you by saying being gay equates to being less than human, keep telling the truth.

I'd argue that your stance now is almost as significant as your Hall of Fame career. You've lended a high profile voice to the fight for equality and yes, keep telling the truth when you're told it's not that. Because it is.

Thank you, Michael Irvin. Hopefully other high profile athletes will follow your lead.

Please, keep telling the truth.

It's funny to see people actually quote the commandments.  Does anyone else see the words, "jealous god", "manservant", "maidservant", and how it talks about insignificant things like "cattle"?  When I say insignificant, I mean in the terms of the intended significance of the commandments for all humans to follow as children of god.  That's like writing a business plan for a multi-billion dollar company and putting in there, "don't forget to restock the napkin holders", it's out of place.  The commandments sound more like a man, or a group of men (I would say women too but I don't think they had a voice back then), writing out a life model so people had some structure to societal living.  Plus, one man really loved his cattle.  God should be an individual spirituality and should not be forced onto society as a way of life.  Being gay is someone's choice and should be respected just the same as wanting blond hair instead of brunette.  Wanting bigger, "assets" instead of the ones millions of years of evolution coded into your DNA.  I agree with our country having commandment LIKE principles, but to say that we should fear the god that wrote the commandments and live our lives by him/them, is rediculous and foolheardy.  To each his own as long as it doesn't infringe on someone else personal rights, NOT socially accepted rights, ie. religion, governement.  Without our foundation of those God like principles our society and amazing way of life would have failed.  I am grateful for our forefathers and even ancient forefathers creating the fear of a God like puppeteer but to say he is an actualy higher power is silly.  All you have to do in this world to be god like is love one another for who thet are and be good people.  That's it and I don't need to conjur up some god to live that way.  However, if those weren't emplaced by moses and all those old dudes, life as we know it may have been very different.  Think about it.  Just my two cents...

What the heck does being born left handed or right handed have to do with a sexual relationship? Wow. You gay guys are really grasping for any little string you can hold on to. No one cares what you do in your home. But when you take it to the streets and demand everyone accept it you show your flaw. I heard there is soon to be a GAY PRIDE MONTH in America. Not happy with a day? Mothers DAY, Fathers DAY, even Christmas is a DAY, but gays want a month. How funny is that. You know who else has Months? Diseases have months. So maybe it is appropriate after all. GAY PRIDE MONTH coming to a NFL Stadium near you. Pride in every form is a illness.

Michael Irvin and his drugs and prostitutes

Remember who this Irvin cat is. Drugs? Coke? Prostitutes? Sound like a stable man worthy of your respect? Only if your as unstable as he is. Homophone and extremists? That is hilarious. As if it is wrong to stand up for something you beleive is wrong? Gays are so unstable they will scream to the masses that "tolerance and acceptance" is mandatory and if you do not tolerate them or accept them you are a homophobes or a extremist. Now, speaking to all you stable guys, we know this is completely against any basic human psychology and most importantly its against nature. Keep inventing you new words to describe those of us who see the world clearly.

FYI, the only studies that show people are born gay are the studies performed by liberal, gay activist sponsored colleges.

Other than men of the cloth, who have no medical or scientific background, who else has done a study on this? Are you suggesting that people aren't born left-handed though through scientific and medical research it has been proven that people born with larger left arms tend to be left-handed?

Are you also telling me that a child who is clearly gay has chosen that "sinful" path knowing the persecution and potential harm that awaits them from intollerants?

And BTW, lumping gay people in with axe murderers and pedophiles is atrocious. I don't lump you in with the evil hate mongers that use the bible as a tool to exterminate everyone that isn't of their standard. Remember, the KKK is a christian organization...

"Even in the extreme liberal state of California, legalized gay marriage has failed two times. Both times being overturned by a radical judge."

Nuff said...goodnight.

Hey, no fair.  You can't argue using both science and magic!  It's also not fair to group most of the finest ,most internationally recognized universities under the same liberal umbrella. Hook em' horns!

If reading is too hard for you, then just read the "Declaration of Independence" (the part about certain unalienable rights being endowed by our Creator [acknowledging God means you believe in HIM]).

You left out the part about "that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." ALL men are endowed with these unalienable rights. Gay men are endowed with these unalienable rights.

Many gay people have lost their lives to intollerant people who use the book of Leviticus as an instrument of hate.
Many gay people are currently being told by state governments that their pursuit of happiness is NOT an unalienable right.

Your selective use of the bible, declaration of independence and other references suggests a justification of hypocrisy or a lack of comprehension.
