The end of McNabb in Washington near?

A league source has confirmed to me that Donovan McNabb is inching closer to leaving Washington and joining Minnesota. Closer, closer, closer but not done. Not yet.

The Vikings and Redskins have agreed on a deal that sends McNabb to Minnesota for a late-round pick, the source said. The source also said that reports McNabb is holding up the deal are untrue. My guess would be that Washington is trying to bleed the Vikings dry for everything they can so as to help justify the trade. McNabb is willing to drastically reduce his salary, I'm told.

There's one other thing that's interesting. It's possible, I'm told, that McNabb would have a very short leash in Minnesota. The organization wants to give Chrisitian Ponder every opportunity to play, I'm told, and should McNabb stumble like he did in Washington the Vikings might not hesitate to pull McNabb.

The end of McNabb in Washington near?

i actually think minnesota would be a good place for mcnabb and maybe even consider them a contender as long as they sign sydney rice. washington is a graveyard for offensive players expecially after signing moss to a 2 year deal. i know moss had 93 catches but thats bc he had mcnabb getting him the ball. who will get em the ball now? rex grossman? farve was too broken down and i can see mcnabb giving the vikings 3 good years max.
