Albert Haynesworth will now be an All-Pro

The Washington Redskins have traded Albert Haynesworth to the Patriots. In Washington, Haynesworth was a bum. A malcontent, a horrible teammate and a stone, cold jackass. In New England, he'll turn into the best defensive lineman in football.

The move, first reported by ESPN and confirmed by me, is typical Bill Belichick. And it will work. Because this is what Belichick does. He takes reclamation projects, jerks and castoffs, like Randy Moss, shines them up, and turns them into Pro Bowlers.

There is no question -- no question at all -- that Haynesworth will be a great player once again the way he was in Tennessee. And all the Patriots will have given up is a fifth round pick.

Remember this: when Haynesworth was in Tennessee he was considered the best interior lineman in the sport at the time.

In some ways this trade is sad. Haynesworth is being rewarded for his disgraceful behavior in Washington. He's now going to the best organization in football after a shameful tenure with the Redskins. But hell. That's football.

I've called Belichick the best coach in the history of football and been mocked for it but it's true. He can coach anyone, anywhere, any time. He'll do it again with Haynesworth.

Fat Albert will soon be gone. Dominant Haynesworth is just around the corner.

Nothing Belichick does surprises this Pats fan anymore.
Hope he can put that Belchickian Mind Meld on Albert.

Once a thug, always a thug - I will always remember Fat Albert for stomping on the guys head when he played for Tenn...
Don't let the door hit ya on the way out - never been so happy to see a player go.  Although we all know Bellichick's track
record for turning players around, I'm willing to bet this is one experiment that will not work out for him.  Albert cares about
Albert and that's  it - he was blessed with talent to play the game of football but he only sees it as a meal ticket (which the
skins so stupidly gave him - thank you very much Mr. Snyder!) to living the good life with all his money!

He'll either be really good, or he'll be cut. We all know how the Pats do business: if you start being a headache, you're gone. Either way, what's the risk? A fifth-rounder? Belichick will pass off some past-his-prime lineman and some magic beans to the Raiders or Chiefs for a pair of early-round picks and nobody's gonna mourn the loss of a pick in round 5.

This is one guy that Belichick wont be able to turn around- the bottom line is Fat Albert has no passion for the game and plays only for the money!! Good luck NE, you're gonna need it!

Yup, reported locally in DC this morning... Well, our long national nightmare is over.  Now, the question is will Belichick make him pass the sprints in camp?  We haven't heard anything about his condition here in DC, so I wonder if he is even in shape... So, to sum it up, he was only a waste of money and space on the roster and in the locker room.  McNabb was a bigger fiasco in my eyes, losing a 2nd and a 4th to Philly, wasting an entire season with the experiment, and now only getting 2 sixth rounders in return, and being stuck without much talent at QB for this year.

You underestimate yourself Mikie, people mock you for many, many valid reasons.
