Albert Haynesworth will now be an All-Pro

The Washington Redskins have traded Albert Haynesworth to the Patriots. In Washington, Haynesworth was a bum. A malcontent, a horrible teammate and a stone, cold jackass. In New England, he'll turn into the best defensive lineman in football.

The move, first reported by ESPN and confirmed by me, is typical Bill Belichick. And it will work. Because this is what Belichick does. He takes reclamation projects, jerks and castoffs, like Randy Moss, shines them up, and turns them into Pro Bowlers.

There is no question -- no question at all -- that Haynesworth will be a great player once again the way he was in Tennessee. And all the Patriots will have given up is a fifth round pick.

Remember this: when Haynesworth was in Tennessee he was considered the best interior lineman in the sport at the time.

In some ways this trade is sad. Haynesworth is being rewarded for his disgraceful behavior in Washington. He's now going to the best organization in football after a shameful tenure with the Redskins. But hell. That's football.

I've called Belichick the best coach in the history of football and been mocked for it but it's true. He can coach anyone, anywhere, any time. He'll do it again with Haynesworth.

Fat Albert will soon be gone. Dominant Haynesworth is just around the corner.

OH MY GOD !!! You better email BB right now because he didn't think of that !!!! I can't believe he had no idea Haynesworth is used to playing in a 4-3 and that the Pats play a 3-4?  You better email him or text him.... damn, tweet him if you have to so he can call Haynesworth before he gets to camp.  I'm sure BB will be in debt to you forever for letting him know these things....

Moron.
No need for personal attacks and sarcasm.

Haynesworth has shown he doesn't work well when moving from a system he is used to.

Hoody will work his magic once again.  Haynesworth will be a beast for us because hoody will let him do what he does best and that is rush the passer.  We need passrushers and what people forget is Albert Haynesworth is a passrusher and a good one.  Don't be surprised he flurishes with that rock on his shoulder not a chip.Cool

DOUCHE... how long did it take you to come up with such an enlightening theory? Put your stupid faith in fat albert and get disappointed like the rest. the difference between now and when he was with the Titans is that he has had his big pay day, he has no motivation left other then to feed his fat face with all the money he raped the Redskins for. I'll tell you why Belichek was able to get production out of Randy Moss, TOM BRADY, NOT Bill Belichek.

This is for all you haters.  First of all Hoody didn't cheat.  There were plenty of teams filming others teams.  As for stealing signals and things of that nature is plain silly.  If someone is stealing your signals change your signals! Grow up you haters.  Last I check didn't the Patriots go 18-1 winning 18 in a row right after such Spygate.  The bottom line is you hate the Patriots because they are doing what your team isn't and that is going to the playoffs and winning superbowls and losing superbowls.  Because we are 3-3 in superbowls shows that we know what it takes to get there and last I checked we were the last team to repeat.  I don't want to hear about how your team won 2,3,4 decades ago that's history what have your team done this past decade (2000-2010).  Not what the Patriots have done so don't hate just congradulate and realize that compared to you the hater the Patriots are Greaaaaaaaattt!Cool

If Albert Haynesworth is going to work anywhere it will be for New England.  The situation with Randy Moss was very comparable to this sorry scene from Washington.  It sucks to think that a player can be such a total jerk, horrible teammate, and a malcontent...and end up in a better situation for himself.  What the world.  But like was already said here...that's the NFL.  (And pro sports.)

Correct. Belicheat is a fraud and he won't win squat now that he can't use the high-powered Sony's.
Nice try dickhead. But answer this question ...

1) If the Patriots gained an unfair advantage by videotaping signals, why can't anybody go back and point out how and where they used them?

2) Videotaping signals is not the only way to steal them. So if there are other ways to steal them (study the signals and compare to how the play is run, etc.) wouldn't everybody do it? Or maybe nobody does if it really doesn't help.

Nobody has ever been able to answer those fundamental questions. But people who run their mouths with stupid and childish comments like these are the real frauds. They're not real fans of the game. They don't really think things through. The points they try to make aren't even close to solid. They just love to throw around empty slander cause it makes them feel better about their own team's failures.

I wouldn't expect a Patriots fan to know this, as they didn't know the NFL existed until 2001.

Calling the Steelers cheaters for using steroids in the 1970s shows several things - first - a combination of ignorance and stupidity.  Steroids were a legal substance, not banned either by the league or by the law.  The first documented use of them came in the AFL with the Chargers in 1963 - where a 4 win team went to an 11 win team and the Chargers defeated the Boston Patriots 51-10 in the AFL Championship.  I would have been willing to bet a months salary that you had no idea the Patriots even played in the AFL Championship Game.

The new trainer - Alvin Roy - introduced dianabol to the Chargers to improve their performance. Roy went on to be the strength coach of Kansas City, Dallas and Oakland - all 3 teams experienced tremendous success.   The fact is - the use of steroids were widespread throughout the league - period.  The idea that the Steelers pioneered the use of them is utter nonsense - a known substance that is proven to enhance strength and performance in a profession that stresses those attributes and they are legal....and you actually believe that only the Steelers used them and every other team in the league were "good little boys" and did not?

I can't wait for Belichick and Brady to retire so Patriot fans will go back to how they viewed their team for most of their history - very apathetic and far behind the Celtics, Bruins and Red Sox - the same way the Boston fans reacted after the Patriots 1976 season - to which I would bet another month's salary you don't know how that ended either.

So it looks like you just wasted alot of company time and money with this long and childish depiction of the typical Patriots fan. Your boss would be very upset if he knew.

Maybe you could say what you said about the new found fans to the 20 somethings of today, since they've only known the Patriots to be successful only the last half of their lives. But I'm 39 years old. As a kid, my friends and I would go to the then Sullivan stadium hoping for them to improve. We wished they could be as good as San Fran and Dallas and wondered why not. Now for the last several years I've been elated to see them into the team that they've become.

And I could sit here and generalize Steelers fans ... but I won't.

Just be glad that your team is one of the NFL's big 3 along with us and the Colts, and spend a little less time insulting others.

You only sound like a resentful baby because the only decent pro team your city has usually gets mopped up by NE.
